Hi There! I am not a runner, but I want to say hello! I will be interested in what Dr. Lewis says to you. He gives the best suggestions regarding individual situations and preferences . I think way back in the archives, there was a runner doing the 5 diet here. I do not remember specifics. I will see if I can come across it in the archives.

What do you consider “hard ” running? tempo, sprints?

I have been doing maybe 4 x 1000m and 2 x 10 min.

I followed my alternate day routine, and I lost 4 pounds. Yay!

I would NOT recommend do any kind of intense training on 5 bite, especially if you still have a regular cycle as a woman.

I only bring this up since I have seen/experienced Amenorrhea (was not on 5 bites) but was running to try to relieve stress, not eating enough due to a bad living situation/stressful work schedule.

I have limited my hard running to no more than 15-20 minutes. (Am also coming off having a sore hamstring).

I am do more stretching/pilates/barre/low impact activity.
