Hi Shelly,
I understand, I feel like I am in a black hole, basically since the last great recession. I don’t have children(wanted them—but that’s another story).Never really recovered my career after the last great recession, not a homeowner due to the downturn and am looking at never retiring unless I win the lotto. When I get very stressed I…[Read more]

I’m going to try and rewatch the ones with Michael, it’s inspiring because he is a bit older and really went for it.

Was inspired by Kylie/Dr. Lewis in yesterday’s chat, restarting today. Please tell me it gets easier with hunger! I’ve only exercised 15 minutes in the morning, I need it for stress relief and to feel less sluggish and lubricate my joints.
I have my hot Americano/water, industrial large size with Splenda(Dr. Lewis ok’d this sugar…[Read more]

I am currently going through a wave of discomfort, similar to what you were sharing last night. I feel so frustrated and tense. I want to overeat, but I’m making myself walk my dog and take care of some errands outside the house. I also had to throw away a hard-boiled egg because it was tempting me to eat it. I love a hard-boiled egg sandwich, a…[Read more]

Thank you for sharing this, Kylie. This is really the point of which all of it rests on- sucess with this. I like the suggestions that Allison shared. Staying busy. Staying positive. Doing yoga helps me. I also will sometimes just walk back-and-forth inside my house. But I think the thing that has really helped me the most is when Dr. Lewis says…[Read more]

Good Morning!
It seems the call this week opens and has a dark screen that says private. The week before works and others do as well. Hopefully it’s an easy fix. I’ve been enjoying starting at the beginning of the calls and when a new one pops up I watch it the next morning. Happy 5 biting everyone! -

I hear ya Kylie! I was not overzealous about when I could reach goal until now. A few months ago, I was about 25 pounds from first normal range bmi goal (for the second time in my adult life) when I fell off the wagon again. I totally could have reached that had I stayed the course. Hmmmmm. Wonder why I self sabotage when I get so close!!??? A…[Read more]

From my experience, it (not eating for emotional comfort) does make the emotions more prominent. We have to find a way to deal with emotions. That is the key to long term success. I thought I had this conquered, but stress eating since Labor say has gotten me off track. I am trying to pinpoint what I substituted for the emotional dea…[Read more]

I also wonder if part of my extreme emotions tonight is also because I am eating so little.

And all I want to do is eat. And when I don’t eat I want to either scream or cry.
I really need to learn to cope with my feeling without eating. I know a lot of the time this is exactly why I eat.
Does anyone else find this?

Good ones! As I said in chat, my word is Equanimity.
Practicing equanimity regarding my compulsion to overeat will help me calmly move through hunger with grace and patience, acknowledging the sensation without becoming overwhelmed or reactive. Instead of resisting or fixating on it, I can observe hunger as a passing experience, remain grounded…[Read more]

<p style=”text-align: left;”>This is always something I’ve felt I wanted to do but never have.
This year I decided to try and made my word Simplify. I never even connected that 5 bites of a bar twice a day is simplifying weight loss for me. Magic!</p>
does anyone else do a word of the year?? -
