  • ps. I’m wondering: should I eat less, for my two meals, in general?

I’m beginning to think so. I will try this tomorrow. Much less, maybe half? I had a 30 bite breakfast today. I’ll try a 15 bite breakfast tomorrow and see how I fare. Lunch will also be a 15 biter. I will try it and see!

  • Hi everyone!

I’m eating my own words now, as I have had an eating episode this past hour.

It began with a thought: how about if I try out having something in the evening, after all, just a small snack, something light?

So I did. And then I had another idea of what would be a good snack, then another, and another, and so on. Now it has settled…[Read more]

  • Hi everyone!

I’ll try something new the next time when I feel that I want more, when I feel reluctant to share with the compost bin, or when I feel reluctant to only have half of something:

I’ll immediatly remove something from my plate! Less, instead of more!

I’ll either reduce my portion, or remove an item completely.

    Either I’ll put the…[Read more]

  • Thank you Dr Lewis!

I went to the allotment before lunch, and it was a pleasure.

Now I’m back home, I’ve had lunch, and it was a fairly moderate meal. I had ham with bearnaise sauce (9 bites), chicken (2 bites), yoghurt with frosties (4 bites), half of a coconut cake (2 bites), pancake with jam (3 bites), a piece of a cabbage roll (3 bites), mac…[Read more]

  • ps.

I’m noticing: when I was at the allotment yesterday, I didn’t use my little stool to sit on.

Previously, and shall I say about 45-50 lbs ago, I was always using my little stool to garden.

Yesterday I was squatting, effortlessly. (And almost effortlessly getting up again.)

This, if this remains the case, means that I don’t need to bring my…[Read more]

  • Hi everyone!
It’s a new day here, it’s the First of May.

I’ve had a breakfast of 30 bites: apple, yoghurt with granola, pancake with jam, sausage with ketchup, chicken, cod, mashed potato, mac&cheese, scrambled egg, soup, and bread with cheese.

Looking back and writing this all down, I do not feel deprived at all! I enjoyed it all.

    My weight…[Read more]

  • How wonderful, Samantha!

  • Great to read your text, Alaska Gal!

With time and fewer bites, the weight comes off.

    Truth is good.

I’ve fired the evening eater. She’s too unreliable.

An early breakfast, an early lunch, and no eating after mid-day for me.

I have water in the evening before bed. That feels good.

It’s the calm that I’m after. Calmness feels better than the…[Read more]

  • Hi Alaska Gal!

These things happen now and then, almost like the desperate habits from before playing out everything they know to do, wanting us to be our old selves with them again.

We’ll make new choices after a few rounds of being hijacked by the old, and find new habits. There’s a beautiful new landscape further along the path, that’s what…[Read more]

  • Hi everyone!

I biked to the allotment and did this and that, planted some plants out, did some digging, some tidying up, and sowing. Now I’m back home, not hungry, brushing my teeth, and all is well. My muscle isn’t sore any longer, and I had a steady, slow energy that allowed me to get things done. Everything is much calmer now. I feel calmer.…[Read more]

  • Hi everyone!

I had this for lunch, also a spontaneous meal:

1 small toast with cheese (4 bites)

50 ml of fish soup (5 bites)

50 ml of frosties with milk (5 bites)

    1 small brownie (2 bites)

5 slices of ham (5 bites)

    banana chips (1 bite)

40 ml of raspberry ice lolly (4 bites)

    mashed potatoes (2 bites)

    – – –

    chocolate (2 bites)

    All in…[Read more]

I’m in a mindset now to not repeat that meal for lunch. Something else!

  • Hi everyone!

I think I did fairly well for my first meal today.

    This is what I had:

1/8 of an apple (2 bites)

1/2 of a piece of crisp bread with butter and cheese (2 bites)

1/2 of a mini pancake with jam (1 bite)

    1/4 of a sausage (1 bite)

    potato (1 bite)

    chicken (1 bite)

    cod (2 bites)

50 ml of yoghurt with 1 teaspoon of granola (5…[Read more]

  • Thank you Samantha!

I felt unfocused during the evening. Or shall I say I was focused on what I wanted to eat. I weighed in inbetween my snacks. I didn’t mind the scale going up and up. I feel that I’m inbetween my old way and a new way with eating. I’ll refocus on what I really want, instead of what I want habitually.

    Onwards! :-)

  • Thank you Samantha!

I’m aiming to cut my food volume in half tomorrow.

Today started out with a tiny brunch, and then I ate more throughout the day, and in the evening I ate even more. That’s similar to my old eating habits, not the new way that I want to establish.

Tomorrow I’ll eat earlier in the day, and stop eating earlier in the day, too.…[Read more]

  • Hi everyone!

I’m slowly seeing the trend line flatten out. I’ve had one tortellini (15 g), one half of a small blueberry-vanilla-bun (13 g), 1 teaspoon of green peas, 50 ml of water, and half a teaspoon of stew.

    Onwards! :-)

  • Hi everyone!

I ate more yesterday than the day before. I also had a cup tea with plenty of milk at home in the afternoon, and in the evening at work I had two small cups of tea with lots of milk. It all shows on the scale today! The downward trend turned into a flatline and then into an upward trend.

It’s most interesting to weight in many more…[Read more]
