Hey!
I like the idea of that…maybe the reason why I keep failing is because I look at it like a ‘4 month’ affair. Well today has been perfect yet again, but I did something different. Usually I just stick to granola bars but when I got home I was craving more protein so instead of my usual granola bar I had a slice of deli beef, a slice of deli…[Read more]

Good. Hopefully day one was successful. Now just put together another perfect day (back-to-back). Then do it again. Take each day at a time–don’t think about the ‘impossible’ challenge of staying focused for 4 months, but rather take each day as a new day, and just focus on being perfect that day. Four months from now you will wake up and be…[Read more]

ABSOLUTELY! She may actually find that, after losing weight, she needs less thyroid medication to keep her thyroid normal.

KizzyKay –
Once again…are you someone who really wants to lose weight? Do you want to look spectacular (like only movie stars and models)? Do you want to feel like a kid again? If your answer to these questions is yes, then how in the world can you give into other people’s persuasions? Where you are going is so far above them and their…[Read more]

Ok, Im taking a chewable vitamin now but it is Jamieson brand and not centrum…anyways i find it so hard to successfully start this with so many events going on in my life..for example, mothers day, my mom’s birthday etc…and then I started this new job yesterday as a nanny and the family kept trying to feed me. Dr. Lewis, Thanks for your post. Focus and your book are a great thing to have when wanting to get fat off your body for good! I guess I will not have to worry about waist size if I would be down to 140 pounds in three months. In fact 155 would be fine with me!!! Thanks again, for the comments!

It’s absolutely possible. At your height, you could be down to 140 in a 3 months. Just stay focused. You’re going to do great. I love the idea about reading the book frequently!

Sometimes what helps me is reading the front of the Five Bite Diet Book. Sometimes when I read the part that talks about dieing prematurely it makes me think…hey, I don’t want to die early, I better get serious about the diet. Then I take it a day at a time! I read the FBD book each and every day!!! Try it…and let me know if it helps any…[Read more]

Dr. Lewis I weigh 239 now. I am 5′ 10"
I have been as slim as a 29 inch waist when I
was in my first year of college. All those choc. chess pies and doughnuts went to the middle. I have lost inches already but I am moving toward a 38 waist. I am a young 50 years old! Haaaaaa! I have been enjoying the FBD. I hope to move closer to a 34 inch…[Read more] -

I know!! I just dont want to tell myself that I will lose 40pds per month because if it doesnt happen, I will get really depressed and binge
…But I have a clear cut goal in mind that I am working to achieve so hopefully that keeps me on track. Are there any specific vitamins or supplements one should be taking while on this? -
drlewis replied to the topic starting again in the forum The Slimming Station Diet 18 years, 6 months ago
Great! And we are all here for you. But just think…if you eat less and lose 40 pounds per month, you’re only 2 months away from perfection!

Well I went to the gym today on my first official day on this and it was actually not that bad. I didnt feel super tired, actually there was one point in my workout where I got a sudden burst of energy! I was so proud of myself and I stuck to my 5 bites per meal (I just have granola bars- 130 cals a piece and smaller than a snickers…[Read more]

At what point during the whole hungerstat resetting process does the body realize that this is going to be the way it is (w/the amount of daily food intake), and relents by raising the metabolism back up?

A 180-pound body can’t support itself on 500 calories a day (not even close), and that’s assuming ALL of your bites are CALORIE-LADEN. Five bites of a typical diet might add up to 200 calories or less. Your heart requires 15x this everyday, and I don’t suppose your heart has stopped beating since you started this diet. Also, the…[Read more]

Your metabolism doesn’t end up much faster, but a little bit. The reality is that we can’t change our metabolisms much one way or another–but at the very least our metabolisms DON’T slow down!

I have not been cheating. I have maintained the strict diet because I have 5 more pounds to lose. NO extra calories and the bites are a little smaller than the snicker as I want to fast track my weight loss of 5 pounds. I only drink water, diet soda etc…no sugar, no cream..I have been remaining focused. Before when my bites were a little…[Read more]
