Got it. Some studies have show that PATIENTS do better in warmer ICU climates, but I didn’t know what the policy was at your hospital.

I won’t lie… today was tough. I’m PMS’ing, grouchy, bloated, and just not in the best mind frame. But I stuck to it! Hi Dr Lewis – every room can adjust their own AC, so some like it warmer, some like it colder. It’s the PPE and fitted N95s that make it so hot. After a 16 hour shift, I feel like I’ve been baked in the oven a hundred times!

Hi Debra. I’m curious: you mentioned that it’s hot. Do they keep the COVID unit warm at your hospital? Do you know the degrees?

Energy levels are defined down today. But I’m thrilled that my 5 Bite lunch filled me up and I wasn’t hungry at all. Praying for some extra stamina to get me through the last half of my nursing shift! I’m working the COVID unit today and it’s just hot and exhausting.

Day 3 is here! I’m not officially weighing until Wednesday at the Week One mark, but I stepped on the scale this morning and was down 7.2 pounds!

I have bars being delivered by Amazon today. Plan to use those on the days I work (I’m a nurse and work long shifts 3-4 days a week) and lunch when I’m at home. Supper is 5 bites with the family. Y…[Read more]

Hi Dennis! I’m just starting Day 3 and so far so good! Had some hunger yesterday but I just told myself to eat the food I was craving that I’d eaten previously from my fat stores. 😅 I’ll post an updated thread soon… but I’m off to get errands started before the FL heat gets too crazy!!
