I love it, Christina! You are exactly right! There will be plenty [more chances than you otherwise would have had] opportunities to eat that in the future. For now, being on the path you are is MUCH more exciting and filling. There’s simply nothing like it!!

I doubt that the carbonated water, by itself, is the culprit. But, as I always suggest, try sticking to plain flat water and black coffee or tea exclusively.

I LOVE that idea. Also, try employing some of the concepts I sent you in your message box.

drlewis replied to the topic What do you do for in the forum The Slimming Station Diet 6 years, 8 months ago
Right. Don’t stress, Marie–just go with it. If you’re not eating, you’re not pooping, and that”s a GREAT thing! But I’d be super aware of liquids that contain carbon. Liquids other that water and black coffee won’t supply material for a bowel movement, but will absolutely fill up your fat stores (or keep you from losing).

Right. All of the above is true. Don’t put too much credit into your scale. They can be very misleading. But if you are having a bowel movement once or twice a week, you are doing GREAT! Just stick to the plan and off the scale (but once a week for your weigh-in).

Right guys. Just trust the process; the rest will take care of themselves. Amy, if you back away from the scale (and don’t use it as a subconscious crutch) you may find that you adhere to the diet much better than you otherwise would. Good luck!!
AWESOME, Marie! 7 pounds in 3 days is BRILLIANT!!! Doesn’t it feel amazing? Doin…[Read more]

Yep. But hang in there. It gets better fast. PLEASE, though, eat the same amount of food when you do eat. Don’t vary the amount!!!

drlewis replied to the topic My Day in the forum The Slimming Station Diet 6 years, 9 months ago
Those numbers all look logical to me. Again, your body loses about 8 oz of fat/8hours. Variation is because of your scale.
Still, you are doing GREAT! Keep up the good work. Since you aren’t going to be weighing yourself while on vacation, make a point of just taking single bites of items of food. Really go for the flavor, nothing else. Tas…[Read more]

I’m sure they do suppress your appetite. Just don’t exceed 5-bites worth, and that IS your meal.

If the water is clear, it probably is mostly clear, and if I were to evaporate all of the water away in a frying pan there would be very little solute left in the pan. So I’m OK with it.

drlewis replied to the topic My Day in the forum The Slimming Station Diet 6 years, 9 months ago
Of course its OK to go an additional 8 hours without drinking, but you will probably be anxious to have some water when this “experiment” is over.

How clear is the water?

But do you understand my point: Your body loses roughly 10 oz of carbon (fat) through natural breathing every 8 hours. That will never change. So you, and only you, can determine what you are doing from the time you wake up till the next time you weigh. Let me put it this way: if you were not to drink anything or eat anything from 6 am til…[Read more]

YES! It is absolutely possible. And with an impending wedding–a monumental lifetime event–you will be will super aware of everything you eat and don’t eat. Great! This will keep you focused. You will eat extra at the rehearsal dinner, but that’s a ways off, and there is no reason that I can see now (an an outsider) why you should ever have…[Read more]

Cortisol may stimulate your appetite, but it certainly does not slow down your breathing. So no matter how much cortisol your body produces, it won’t affect your weight.
As far as fluid (water), what goes in DOES come out, or it would build up around your ankles (first). You would see it. Prednisone can cause fluid retention, but more im…[Read more]
