Incredible! You did it! So … how was today (Day #4)?

AWESOME, but today is Friday. How is THIS day going? BE strong! Think of everything we talked about last Monday. THIS is the weekend of all weekend. Take it minute by minute and find a way to resist eating any extra food. Be PERFECT! THIS IS THE WEEK that will redefine your entire weight-loss trajectory.

Wonderful! You are on your way! Just keep putting one foot in front of the other, and you’ll be over the 3-day hump before you know it!

Brilliant. The first day’s the hardest. And come tomorrow (probably when you read this) you will already feel SO MUCH better. You’ll feel really good–a whole lot better than food today would have made you feel!

Welcome back! You are in the right place, and we are all here to support you. OK. The race starts today. PLEASE start off your first week by eating only bars and let’s set your hungers precisely. Is that OK with you?

Yes!!
Eating small amounts is special and does make you feel amazing afterwards. I guess it’s sort of like a runner’s high. (And believe me, I know. I’ve logged many hundreds of miles running around Southern California.) When you start off running, it’s not fun or even comfortable, but you do it, in part, for that amazing feeling that…[Read more] -

Welcome back!
There isn’t a simple button you can push to reset it, but this is what you can do:
Change the weights for weeks 1-5 to your current weight. Then, as the weeks tick by, adjust 2-5, then 3-5, then 4-5 (etc) to your updated weight for that week. After 5 weeks you’ll be all caught up. OK?

The main concern with weighing daily is that, subconsciously, you adjust your bites to fit the number on the scale. I don’t want you to do that. I simply want you to follow the diet EXACTLY as I’ve laid it out, and then look forward to your weigh-in day once a week.
( I do alter this a bit once you are done losing weight, but we are not there yet.) -

I like that! You can start collecting tiny meals. See how many new, tiny, complete meals you can come up with!

Right on!

drlewis replied to the topic Race for My Life in the forum The Slimming Station Diet 4 years, 8 months ago
Exactly right. I’ve used the same comparison to commitment with my own patients. You NEED to be 100% committed, not just as a challenge, but because, by definition, it is a commitment!

Yes, it’s possible. I had two sisters as patients, both near 300 pounds, who lost 50 pounds in the first 2 weeks. It is possible, but it requires: 1. extremely good will and discipline, and 2. enough excess fat on the body to begin with. You are too light to lose 45 pounds in 2 weeks, but you could do it in a month!

Yes you will. And it’s worth it. So take it day by day, meal by meal, and find a way to execute each meal perfectly. You can totally do this!!

Yes. Absolutely. But like a game of golf where every shot counts, every bite counts in this game of life.

I like that, Smaro. You are doing the best with what you have under the current circumstances. When we eat, our objective is to taste the food that’s sitting on the plate in 5 perfect bites and then to throw everything away. I KNOW the food is good and you want more, but within just 5 minutes of throwing the excess food away you will feel fa…[Read more]

Rachel, You can make that happen. Easily. But you’ve just gotta do it. Honestly, if it means enough to you, why NOT eat just a bar twice a day until you get to your goal? Why not? After all, will you remember any of the other food that you eat along the way? I doubt it! And again, as I always say, you can eat whatever once you are thin. …[Read more]
