drlewis replied to the topic should I be worried? in the forum The Slimming Station Diet 15 years, 5 months ago
It is ENTIRELY a propaganda myth. Read my book again. Your metablism–the rate at which your major organs work–doesn’t change. And there is nothing you can do to alter it. So don’t worry about it. As long as you are breathing (and losing about 8/100ths of a gram with each breath) you are STEADILY losing weight. The same now as when you are…[Read more]

drlewis replied to the topic question 4 u doc
in the forum The Slimming Station Diet 15 years, 7 months agoBullion is almost pure salt–I don’t think many calories–and in that sense it’s ok. You’ll then drink a lot of water, because your body’s going to demand it, and you’ll put on some weight (water weight), but it will all wash out of your system relatively soon. But for those who have heart or kidney problems, bullion is NOT a good idea.

drlewis replied to the topic Today marks 30 days on the diet! in the forum The Slimming Station Diet 15 years, 9 months ago
Franca – Whenever you feel this way, stop fretting it. It just doesn’t matter. Just lose the most amount of weight that you can at this point, which means that you need to pretend like this is day #1 of the diet. Be excited with your success to this point, and most of all, get excited about where you are going. Then, actually look forward to a…[Read more]

drlewis replied to the topic What size snickers? in the forum The Slimming Station Diet 15 years, 11 months ago
Yes. That’s the right one. BUT … you don’t have to eat the whole thing. I know they are 5 big bites, but a Snickers gives you the idea of the ABSOLUTE MOST you should ever put in your stomach for a meal.
But, if 5 of your bites are smaller, stop and throw the remainder of the Snickers in the trash. Or, if after 3 bites you decide that the…[Read more]

drlewis replied to the topic Day 1 in the forum The Slimming Station Diet 15 years, 11 months ago
It varies from person to person, but I’d say about 1 month. That’s if you eat nothing but 5 bites twice a day for 30 days (but we are just talking about 30 days, right? Not bad!) Typically, we lose from a 1/2 a pound to 1 pound every eight hours of living. Your 2.5 pounds in 24 hours fits this model. Remember, you body never stops blowing off…[Read more]

drlewis replied to the topic I'm struggling in the forum The Slimming Station Diet 16 years, 1 month ago
Yes–you absolutely can do this. Once you’ve had a bite of food ask yourself, "Is the next bite of the exact same food going to change my experience or recollection of the meal in any way?" Once you realize that the second bite is going to taste no better than the one you just ate, throw it away! It is so much more filling to have control over…[Read more]

drlewis replied to the topic important question for you Dr. Lewis in the forum The Slimming Station Diet 16 years, 1 month ago
The mere fact that you are setting your hungerstat to a small volume ABSOLUTELY DISCOURAGES binging. You literally DON’T want to eat more. So why would you? Also, worse case scenario: you do put on a few pounds after you "pig out" at a party. No biggy! Just go right back on the diet and it’s all off again. Not only does this program NOT…[Read more]

Welcome back on the program (and here for the first time)! Yes … weight loss is a MIND GAME, and hearing others success and reading about their trials and tribulations helps you to conquer the game on your own. And, of course, it helps to play the game with the most powerful set of tools to help you accomplish that goal. That is what we have…[Read more]

drlewis replied to the topic Food is NOT the answer to having a fun time!!! in the forum The Slimming Station Diet 16 years, 2 months ago
Sure. Cut down to 3 bites per day. If you are just having Snickers, you won’t be missing out on various flavors, so it’s totally doable. Good luck!

drlewis replied to the topic Gimme a guarantee Doc! in the forum The Slimming Station Diet 16 years, 7 months ago
At your current weight, you can expect a little more than 13 pounds per week. But be careful about becoming ‘complacent’ with your success. If you forget that you are on a diet, even for 1 meal, you will lose track of your bite count and stretch you hungerstat back out. But if you stay focused and motivated, you should lose at least this much…[Read more]

Hi!
But be careful…bigger spoons set bigger hungerstats! Still, it sounds as though you are doing well.
