Exactly right, Letileti! Once you set your hungerstat, you never have to diet again and can throw all your [other] diet books away. Losing weight and maintaining your weight loss is not complicated–those other books just make is so. It’s simple. Find the right amount for you body, and live (and love!) a life that few people (relatively…[Read more]

drlewis replied to the topic Jealous of the Foodies???? NAH! in the forum The Slimming Station Diet 8 years, 4 months ago
Personally, I think of myself as a foodie. My mother is an amazing cook and has prepared remarkable gourmet meals over the years. New Years Even is typically an 8-course affair. My wife is a great cook as well. I love eating at nice restaurants and trying new foods. So I think I am a foodie. But I get to have my cake and eat it too. My…[Read more]

I Love that, SusieB. It’s not crazy how “silly” you are, but it’s awesome that you are internally and personally committed to getting thin. You KNOW it going to happen–it’s just a matter of time. And yes: that feeling makes you feel giddy. Exactly! I’m so excited for you!!!

Great Shelly. Right–now is your time. Define your boundaries and do not tolerate trespassers. This is YOUR time. Time to get thin and healthy. Go, Go, GO!!

Yes, Gayle! Even though you just started again, and are probably a little empty and hungry, it feels AMAZING! Right? You can’t duplicate that incredible feeling any other way. AND rightly so: your body has so much more energy when you start to use up the inflammatory and fatigue-causing fat. Great!

I love the post 6 hours ago; the last one not so much. Understand the those good aromas will ALWAYS be around and they will ALWAYS tempt you. You’ve got to be stronger then they are. You have to want to be thin more than the food wants to be eaten. You’ve got this. Right–get up and leave if you must–but don’t let anything tempt you. Hunger…[Read more]

Indeed, I really want you to succeed, 5Bite. You haven’t updated your tracker in awhile. Would you mind doing so? I want to know where you stand today and how things progress over the next few days/weeks. Thanks!

Ah, Shelly, but you can’t blame God for making you splurge on Ice Cream. Not EVERYTHING is under his control. He has given you free will. It is your responsibility, then, to make good choices with your free will. Splurging on ice cream is a bad decision. The ice cream will always be there. You can always eat more of it later. If you just…[Read more]

Fine. Did 2 bars a day make you nauseous? I can’t imagine that 1 bar a day makes that much of a difference. But, you will feel uneasy, perhaps, whenever your body starts to break down a new depot of fat.

HI HT …
First, you didn’t need the saltines–water would have been fine. But the extra salt does cause water retention (in the short run) so that is probably why the scale isn’t moving much. But, just to finish this thing once and for all, why not go back to bars? One for lunch, one for dinner, and that’s it. Water and coffee. You’ll be…[Read more]

I actually like that … because when you bought the size 14 you also bought the size 8. I think I would have preferred it more if you had bought all the way down to size 2; I don’t want you to stall when you are in your size 8’s because you don’t have skinnier jeans to work into.

YES! Even one little health issue puts an end to the discussion. You HAVE to do this diet until you cross the finish line lest suffer the consequences of that health issue for the rest of your life.
I also like the idea of learning to go without having something in your mouth–even gum. While gum is a good tool for those who aren’t ready to…[Read more]
