Congratulations at the theme park, Beth! That’s a big challenge, and you conquered it! Don’t you feel so much better right now than had you given into temptation at the park? Wasn’t it worth it many times over? AND, there we be plenty of times in your skinny future when you can return to that park and have some of the park food if you want. Great job!

Great job, Beth. At lunch you probably wanted more, and dinner you wanted to eat, but when all was said and done, aren’t you really happy that you DIDN’T eat? Don’t you feel great now because of it? Wasn’t it worth chasing to stick to the plan? Isn’t it ALWAYS worth it to stick to the plan?

Great. Right–don’t overthink. Rather, become a robot: 5 bites for lunch, 5 bites for dinner. Water, coffee, multivitamin. Repeat.

The island DOES look great, and the best part of it is that it is BARE. No food, fruits, etc on it. I LOVE that! Keep food out of sight! GREAT!

Thanks for this post Rx.
Your metabolism isn’t “screwed up.” Your heart still pumps as hard and as frequently as it always has, and your breathing the same as it has always been (the end result of metabolized carbon). But regardless, it is what it is! You just need to adjust to your current energy requirements to fit your current expenditure…[Read more]

How about a PayDay bar? Just a lot of nuts, salt, corn syrup. That won’t aggravate your gluten enteropathy.

Gluten-free, fat-free, sugar-free, calorie-free, lactose-free … who cares? They mean NOTHING! (unless you have a diagnosed gluten enteropathy or lactose deficiency for those two mentioned.)

That is a very good and blatant point, Susie. The number of deaths due to metabolic disease FAR, FAR, FAR outweigh the very few number of deaths due to anorexia. Great point. There is a happy medium between metabolic disease and anorexia, and that number puts your BMI around 18.5.

I’m hoping you threw that last bit of a burrito away!?

drlewis replied to the topic One week, zero bites. Doubt I'll do that again in the forum The Slimming Station Diet 8 years, 5 months ago
Fine — be afraid to eat too much for awhile. I’m good with that. Just a few bites for lunch, a few bites for dinner. That’s it. Keep the ball rolling until you cross the finish line, which is not that far down the road given how well you are doing. GREAT!

If you can stay away from the food, you will walk away a winner, despite how the dice roll. Good luck!!

ILUVMYCOFFEE –
You remind me of an Actor Christian Bale, who played an anorexic in a movie the Machinist. His wife, Cebe, and my wife were good friends at church. Anyway, Christian says that when he got down to about 120 to play the role, he felt a remarkable sense of calmness and ease. It is a great thing to get those inflammatory cytokines…[Read more]
