I’m not sure either, but I know it’s not the diet. Don’t lose focus. You’ve got this! And don’t let people convince you to change your routine. YOU understand why and how this diet works; they don’t. Be strong. Be a rock. And do the incredible!

OK. Fair enough. I don’t understand those technical aspects, hence I’m lucky to have Chris!

Hmmm. I don’t know about this. Pardon my ignorance, but what is DNS?

YES!! Success–in all things–stems from being able to delay gratification. You can always wait and taste a bite of that later. You don’t need it right this second. Excellent recognition.

Great! Hunger means you are breaking down a lot of fat. Just hang on for what? … for a couple of DAYS before the hunger goes. In exchange for a LIFETIME of being thin, fit, and perfectly healthy? Hmmm. Let me think … is it worth it. OF COURSE IT IS!!! :woohoo:

I totally agree with him: Keep them talking. Keep giving them more to talk about. Get them talking so much their jaws get sore.
Good job, but I really want you to be perfect. Even though I’m not a huge fan of weighing daily, you should lose at least 1 pound every day that you follow the diet correctly. And PLEASE keep carbon out of liquids,…[Read more]

Right on! I mention that to my patients as well: once they get to their goal weight, if they don’t absolutely love it (although it’s healthiest for them), then they can always eat a bit more and gain some weight back. But absolutely: take PERFECTLY SKINNY for a test drive! :woohoo:
I really, really like your frame of mind!

This sounds like a reasonable plan to me, Kristina. Great work.
I love the fact that your family is noticing; just smile and say something like, “You know, I’ve noticed that I’m losing weight too!”
And if this program is bringing out “demons,” that can only be a good thing. Again, in the end, your life is going to be INCREDIBLE. And again…[Read more]

Kristina,
People have different comfort levels. When I did it, I just did it, and encouraged people to ask me why I was eating so little. I would then go through the science of it an explain that, as long as there was fat around my belly, I didn’t need to eat at all, let alone 5 bites. I was solid in my conviction to lose weight and my…[Read more]

Beautiful! It looks as though you are right on track. Yes … this entire journey is a learning and discovery venture. You not only will learn about your body and it’s needs (and how well it is designed to thrive off of fat alone), but how to better control your emotions, relationships, and overall organization in your life and around your…[Read more]

Hi Kristina! Happy New Year!
I really like the photo you took. The food looks great–what it? It looks like you ate the amount I want you to eat. BUT, did you eat only that amount? No extras either before or after the photos? If not, you are doing great, and I just want you to go through your days staying focused and do the same thing over…[Read more]

I can’t wait to see what you can do. I love that attitude, DD, and I can’t wait to see how close you can come to that goal. I don’t think you will be at goal by January first, but try and prove me wrong!

You are doing GREAT. I’m so happy for you. A pointer for Thanksgiving: It’s a free day, so don’t count your bites. Make a point to taste everything offered (including at least 1 bite of every pie), but try to not finish any one item of food. Leave a ton of it on the plate. You will lay the day to rest with only positive memories if you do.

Good idea–switch your bars around. Let’s see how that goes!

Great. But also remember this: Thanksgiving is a free day, but every bite you bank leading up to Thanksgiving is another bite you have on that day. At least that is another way to think of it. Also, no matter how hungry you are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, it’ll all be worth it on Thursday. So find a way!
