Just imagine how amazing you will look good at GOAL! Even though I like how I look at some of the higher weights, NOTHING looks as good as when I get to the lower and lower mid range. It’s so nice when that tummy gets flat again. YES – as a 50 yr old woman, who has had two children, my tummy gets as flat as a board at my lower range — so I’m…[Read more]

We continue to learn Chloe! So so glad you didn’t have the side effects of first few days. For me, if I overindulge — more when I’m in the maintenance phase and not weight loss phase — I find that Day 2 or 3 of reset can be hungrier days BUT manageable.
Keep hydrated and busy!!
You are killing it!!

Hi Everyone!
I love reading all your posts!!!
Sorry to have been out of communication. I was on a family vacation from Friday to Tuesday night. The vacation was really about spending time with my aging parents so it was special but some work. I completely stayed on my vacation plan. I weighed everyday and exercised everyday. I have not lost more…[Read more]

WOW! These are fantastic!!
“I’m on a fast and furious race to get rid of the toxic fat!”
Just try to tune people out! You will never allay people’s fears. Their disingenuous concern is really about their fear in disguise. Food and weight loss can be very confrontational. I no longer apologize for my eating or dieting. My body, my rules.

Gayle,
I love your posts! They are so inspirational. You listed a lot of things that personally define my WHY for being here and wanting to lose my weight with this tool.
This diet is my home plate diet because of the physical and spiritual reasons, and remembering that I’m doing it for myself and seeing the benefits truly generates the pos…[Read more]

Exactly. In fact, I strongly encourage you to start cooking again just to further cement your newfound control over food.

Right, Alison. Don’t let compliments impede your commitment to go all the way and achieve exceptional living. You are not done until you are truly done. For now, you ARE a five-biter. Just be that person, and don’t let anyone tell you you’ve lost enough until you actually have lost it all.

Thank you for your post. I needed to read it. I got off track after a couple of years maintaining and got angry about not eating the volume I wanted. Instant gratification and instant escape with food with lots of family issues . What was worse was instant continued weight gain… your so right no one is making me do this. But I deserve to…[Read more] -

I put on a pair of pants today, normally firm fitting, today loose.
I prepared nachos, had 3 bites and 2 bites of smoked rainbow trout on pumpernickel bread with cream cheese. Yum.
I thought I would enjoy a bite of a chocolate crossiant, but it was rubbish, so I spat it out. I’m taking foodie to a new extreme!!

Day 23
Yesterday I allowed myself to “top up” so to speak but I have found that eating so much is not ultimately satisfying and I seem to be able to carry over the habit of leaving food on my plate. I also found that I am actually refining my palate in the sense that I feel like I can choose the individual tastes I am looking for and let go of…[Read more]

Just starting a thread for ideas on reponses to those in our lives who find it difficult coming to terms with your new, healthier self. Dr. Lewis gave me a few ideas. Feel free to add your comebacks!!

There have been a few people in the district here who have lost their lives early. Mid 50’s and 60’s. All overweight. And the health issues people have with diabetes. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Think of all the potential disease you are getting rid of and how healthier you are even if the pounds where not as much as you liked for the week. You…[Read more]

I’m not stressing if its not as much as I wanted. If you loose 2 pounds that’s still heading in the right direction and think how much you have already lost!! 30 pounds rid of inflammatory, disease creating fat.
And your right about a slower weight loss on other diets. All the others require too much time, obsession, weighing,…[Read more] -
