Great! I’m delighted that you made the commitment to release the weight, but I’m not thrilled that you gained a significant amount back. Maybe this will be the last time!!
I love your 5-bite commitment. Let’s see what you can do in this next week!

Just over a year later and I’m back. I bring more weight on the scale, but that will soon be gone. I am hoping my motivation stays strong this go around. It’s been tough. I think in the past year; I have been reckless in understanding my position on food and weight loss. The irony of having so much power to lose weight as quickly as I know I can…[Read more]

Skinny,
I remember the first time I did the 5 Bite Diet and I was concerned, even worried, about being ravenously hungry as I got used to eating only five bites twice a day. In fact I remember that I was never ravenously hungry, but rather I felt very weak very lightheaded. After maybe 8 to 10 days that lightheaded weak feeling went away and I…[Read more]

Thank you, Dr Lewis and Sean!
I appreciate the support!!
Today was good. I did have a bite of sherbet and one mug of broth. But other than those two things, I was perfect!
I had 3 mugs of black coffee, a bar at lunch, and a bar at supper.
I’m so glad to be back on track. I feel empty and a little bit weak today, but now being…[Read more]

We Catholics have a prayer service during Lent called <i style=”font-weight: bold;”>The Stations of the Cross</i>. During this prayer service we recall that Jesus fell three times on the journey to Calvary and three times he got up and continued the journey. Like me, you might have fallen, but the journey continues and that is what is most i…[Read more]

Skinny! Thank you for your support and encouragement. They mean more to me than I can say. I truly feel like I am off to a good re-start of my program. While it is fairly cold up here in Northern California, my week so far is off to a good start. My school is still on holiday and that is pleasant. My 5 Bite Diet is off to a good start for t…[Read more]

That’s okay, Sean! Mistakes happen.
Don’t feel embarrassed or ashamed! How is your week going? I am restarting after a bad week last week. I weighed the same today as I did last week. Next week I would love to get into the 180s!
I hope you have a blessed day!

No loss but no gain. I was very busy yesterday and didn’t have a chance to check in or weigh in. Yesterday I weighed 200.8 lbs, so I lost 3.2 lbs. I weighed 196.8 this morning.
Yesterday I was really good. I had a bar for lunch and a bar for supper. Then when we got home I had some broth and 2 bites of hamburger. Not perfect, but I did…[Read more] -

Opps! When I entered my weight before Evening Prayer and supper my figures don’t add up. I entered 210 lbs for today’s weight, but I saw that last week I entered 206 lbs. what was I thinking??? I have no real idea, but all I can say is that 206 lbs is not correct! This is why I have returned to my previous practice of recording my weight ever…[Read more]

This week, I was terrible with my diet. It was all my choice, and there are no excuses. I weighed this morning and I was 198.6. Probably I will be worse tomorrow.
But, I NEED to come back here and stay accountable! I can’t do…[Read more]

Lol! Funny! So how’d ya do yesterday?! I did ‘almost perfect’! Had my coastie son in town so had a small get together, got to talking and nibbling, following the herd! Then I realized ‘oh ya, don’t do this mindless eating crap!’ And then walked away from the food. I must say, it’s hard when everyone else is eating & eating. Takes focus to watc…[Read more]

Ah, it’s great to know that there is another Snicker Fan out there! When I went to Walgreen’s to get some for diet use they had a Snicker Yard box with 18 bars inside. I laughed so hard that I had to buy a box. Now I have to learn discipline not eat more then one at a time. PS: They are the regular size Snicker Bars, not the King-sized bars. Drats!

Greetings! When I was on Dr. Lewis’ 5 Bite Diet in 2006-07 I used take my weight every day and write it on my list. I am not sure that back in those days so long ago Dr. Lewis thought that was necessary, but since it helped my stay focused on my dreams and goals, I did it anyway. This morning after taking care of some business at my school w…[Read more]
