Hi 5bitegirl
Just reading your post now. How are you feeling now. With those panic attacks I would definitely get out of the kitchen and the place where you ate that bar. I would go up to the bedroom or another room and just relax and remind yourself why you Re doing this. It is just a panic moment and craving. Think of it like your animal brain…[Read more] -

Yes, Socal. You CAN. In fact, you CAN push yourself harder than you think you can. Your body won’t fall apart–in fact, it will THRIVE. So although you will be hungry, push the envelope. Go without as much food as you can. Just a couple little tastes a day, and fall asleep with the grin of success on your face.

So, how do you feel now, 5Bite? Did you give in and have that extra bar, or where you able to stave off the cravings? Was it worth it?
In terms of the clothes in your closet … great! I’m delighted they now fit. But I want you to go through them fast so they no longer fit: I want them WAY too big! Then you get to go shopping. So focus hard…[Read more]

Congrats on committing to and finishing that race. BUT … just imagine how well you are going to do next year at the same event! It’s going to be incredible! But hurry up and lose all of you excess weight so you can start training on your new-and-improved body!

Thank you! It could have been better but I only see positive from it!
I logged over 36,000 steps yesterday!!! Wow!
I didn’t make good time but I didn’t fall or hurt myself and I didn’t over eat afterwards or have to take in much during other than water so that was good. My next one will be even better!I hope my race photos aren’t too scary…I…[Read more] -

I’m back to check in again because I’m struggling greatly right now! I just had my bar for lunch and felt like I absolutely could not stop. I desperately wanted to (still want to!) rip open another one . . .
I’ve had more hunger than usual this morning for some reason and have been watching the clock looking forward to lunch time. Also, I…[Read more]

I know, I just kept getting low blood sugars and when I would train I would run out of steam. So frustrating!!
I did lose a couple more lbs before the race (I haven’t updated my chart yet) but its back because of my race and my monthly so I guess I will see how this week goes but I am ON THIS.Today I am enjoying my black coffee and I have a bar…[Read more]

Downward progress! That’s a great result. It’s comforting to know that, IF I adhere to Dr. Lewis’s protocol, I WILL lose weight. He’s helped hundreds of people of all ages, sizes, and states of health to drop pounds. It may be five pounds, or 15 (I’m thinking of you, Mary) in a week, but the plan is so much quicker and more effective than anything…[Read more]

I’m also still noticing what Gayle had mentioned as a detachment from other food. When I’m cooking for the family, it still looks and smells delicious, but the thought of eating it never even crosses my mind because it’s simply not my food.I noticed this detachment occurring, too, and I do think that focusing on eating only…[Read more]

Another thought: My 21st anniversary is coming up on May 25th. Although we don’t usually do anything big, we’ll probably at least go out to dinner or something. So I’m going to use that date as a mini-motivator with an extremely realistic goal. I think I can be at or below 135 before then, so I am going to be looking forward to that reward!

I made it through two weeks of perfect bar days! Yay!! This morning was my weigh-in, and I’ve lost 4 pounds this week. Again, yay!!
As of right now, I still have no specific plan for transitioning out of bars. And I definitely won’t make any changes unless I have a specific plan ahead of time! So bars again for today . . .
I feel that one…[Read more]

Thank you
I love that you’re proving your friend wrong about losing weight! You’re doing great! When your friend sees you at your goal weight, she’ll be blown away and be asking you all kinds of questions about how you did it. No matter how long it takes you’ll make it. I love your positive attitude

Thank you, Beth! I’m glad you’re back and fighting the good fight. A “friend” told me that I’d never lose the excess weight, because at our age, it’s just too hard. I told her that I will never give up. It may take a little longer than it did when I was in my twenties, but I know I can do it. Best wishes to you, Beth!

Thank you, Smaro, Chrissa, and Dr. Lewis! I do feel changed, even with a modest loss on the scale. I’m doing a fair bit of resistance training, and I like feeling muscle where there was a certain “softness.” I’ll keep pecking away at it. I’ve given myself all year. Let’s keep up the great work of transformation!
