Perfect day 5!
I love hearing about your progress, Smaro. You’re doing amazing and inspiring me!!
Birthday party: Great job!! I don’t have the answer for those moments of struggle. I, too, sometimes continue to think about the food . . . But it might help to think about all the times in the future when you can have pizza or more bites of…[Read more]

Day 5: Perfect but hard…
Lunch: 5 bites puff pastry filled with feta cheese
Dinner: we went to a birthday party… It was hard with all that food. Ate 5 bites cake but I am still thinking about that pizza and all the other stuff…
How should I handle such moments (parties, gatherings, etc) without struggling? -

That’s a great plan – I started taking measurements and photos to see the difference physically. Especially for those days when the scale didn’t budge.Great idea, Beth. The scale, as Gayle has pointed out, is only one highly imperfect measure of progress. I’ve given the scale complete control of my actions…how mad is that?! I’ll…[Read more]

No. You can’t convert matter to energy (First Law of Thermodynamics). Fat is composed of tangible matter. You can see it, you can feel it. It’s made up of almost 100% carbon. And the PRIMARY way we rid our body of carbon is by breathing. That is why all living animals breathe. Plants then take up that CO2, break the O2 from the carbon (in a…[Read more]

Perfect, Smaro! That’s it: settle into the groove and just “do your thing.” That’s it. You don’t need to involve other people in your journey; it’s a personal one. Talk about the diet or don’t talk about the diet. It doesn’t matter. All that matters is that you stay true to yourself and your commitment to become SPECTACULAR in every way imaginable!

Today I was supposed to host a booth at a food truck festival (unfortunately I couldn’t go), but I did send my husband to get me a wrap. I had 5 bites, gave a big chunk to him and then saved the last four bites for tomorrow :cheer:
On another note… I woke up to a two pound drop! Yay!

Can’t worry about scale when sick or even when you’re not! It’s just a measuring tool that doesn’t tell the whole story. If you are truly focusing on staying on point/plan the scale will catch upExactly, but too often I give the scale more say then it really should have on how I feel that day – based on a number I see.

Day 3: Perfect.
I am not hungry, and I enjoyed nice food. The only change I made today was that I had a late breakfast instead of a lunch. One coworker brought sweets for a treat because his wife just had a baby. I wanted to participate in that and the sweets were really good! I had just 5bites and was totally satisfied. Then I had a late…[Read more]
