  • Hello! I am back on Slimming Station after 2 years. I lost 15 pounds following 5 bites in 2016. I’ve put it all back on plus more! I’ve been playing around with other ways of eating to try to get back to my happy weight, but I haven’t been successful because I would fudge here & cheat there. I’m a member of the Why Weight Around Warriors Faceboo…[Read more]

  • Yes, we did see your old stats, so it looked like you were on the program.  Thanks for updating them…now it says “you have lost 72 pounds and are at 128 pounds.  You are 35, 5’10”, with a starting weight of 200 lbs, you are on week 11, and you want to lose 20 more pounds to be at 108 pounds for your goal.  Your best weekly loss is 36 pounds”.

  • I’ll be honest with you guys: I don’t know what you see.  When you go to the weigh tracker, you see your stats–and mine?  Could someone please tell me.

I just revised my data to more correctly reflect my weight loss.  I did all of this some 15 years ago.  I’ve been at 128 since.

  • I definitely am not ready to throw out the scale yet…I want to see that wonderful skinny number over and over before I graduate to the next level.  It is just a goal of mine to get to that point someday.

I’m kind of confused by your weight tracking etc. Dr. Lewis…are you on the program or is that what you lost?

  • Ann.  Fine, but don’t throw out your scale.  You will need it to finely titrate your weight when you hit your magic number.  For now, just use the scale once a week.  But when you are skinny, step on it frequently until you know and can feel how weight fluctuates about your ideal number.  I can tell you what I weigh to the 0.5 pound sens…[Read more]

  • I love that: … Did you lose weight?

    “I have no idea!”   :-)

My take is this: Everyone–women more than men, maybe–but everyone talks and obsesses about weight, because NO ONE is at their goal weight.  EVERYONE has a single number where their body runs at it’s best.  Mine is 127.  That may go down a pound or so decades from now, but that’s my…[Read more]

  • Hi Pia,

In the past when I have lost weight, people have made comments, too.  So….everybody must be watching everybody for gains or losses in their weight-LOL!  It is one thing when someone says “wow-you look great, did you lose weight?” versus “are you sick?  you look like you have lost weight…”.  It really isn’t any of their business.  It i…[Read more]

  • Thanks, Tao!  You gave good advice, just relax and enjoy the bliss!  For me, I am looking for not only a diet but a lifestyle to maintain.  I’m tired of the scale roller coaster and just want to get to my happy weight and stay there.  One of my friends in her 80’s threw out her scale years ago and just goes according to how her clothes fit.  I li…[Read more]

  • TIP #1. Relax and ENJOY!
It’s only food. Take it or leave it (…Leave It).

TIP #2. GET so jazzed and focused on every little thing that brings you happiness that you are exhausted by bliss, and can’t help but fall and stay asleep. All night, every night.

    Peace

  • Welcome, Ann!  You are definitely in the right place.  I’m going to send you some questions after I take a peek at your weight tracker: we’ll go from there.

Your difficulty sleeping is common, and we’ve all felt it to some degree, but it goes away fairly quickly!  You were SO CLOSE!  I’m going to help you hang in there this time, overcome tha…[Read more]

Hi, I’m not sure if I got this all entered correctly, so forgive me if it is a goofy message.  I joined this afternoon and am looking forward to the accountability, tips and advice from this site for my weight loss success.  This past couple of years the scale has kept going up…I’m calling it grief weight since I lost my mom, brother and d…[Read more]

  • Thanks Tao…I’ll do that.  I tried this diet a few years ago, and had trouble sleeping due to the hunger.  I suppose my body was in some stage of Ketosis, and it just really wired me up.  I kept a diary through it, and most of the nights I didn’t sleep well, I woke up due to hunger.  So, I gave up.  I need my sleep.  Okay…now to your other…[Read more]

  • First Off, start your own Thread so People here can find you and root for you.

Well, for me it was water at my side, all day long.
FOUR 1 liter bottles of SmartWater, and getting through each one a little at a time — one every 2 hours or so.
    Cautiously eat five small bites.
Go to bed SOON after your evening meal so the temptation to cheat…[Read more]

  • Hello everyone,

I just signed up and will enter the weight tracking information tomorrow and start the 5-bite eating tomorrow.  According to the book, the first three days are the hardest.  Any tips or ideas that helped all of you get through the first stage?

  • Yay!!!  Happy belated Birthday Tao!!! Hope you had a fabulous day!!! You’re doing great btw!!!  :yahoo:

  • I really like that, Tao.  Thanks!   :good:

  • Say, “Thanks for your concern. And isn’t it strange that folks have forgotten THIS is what Healthy looks like?”

Chances are you’ll be saying this to someone who has tried diets before (I mean, haven’t we all?) but has never broken-through to where they, themselves wanted to weigh.

Remember, YOU are their opportunity to learn something new and…[Read more]

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY to ME!! This morning, everything feels so simple. Just for today, follow through because it’s effortless. How does it ever get complicated?
I guess I’d need to understand how I’ve lived and eaten so irresponsibly against the interests of my own health.

Firmly set to eat 5 bites of sashimi and wasabi tonight with family and…[Read more]
