I’ve been using some meditation techniques to curb the desire to eat more. To be honest, once the hunger stat is set, there is not much hunger if any at all. But if there are any feelings of discomfort associated with the process we are all going through, i’ve noticed that meditation can help one have equanimity with the feelings we are having.…[Read more]

Ok I realized I better get back to journaling more often, I think it is more difficult to cheat when you need to confess later, I did ok today, but not perfect so tomorrow I am going to do absolutely perfect, plan is 1 snickers for lunch and one for dinner, no extra bites, if anything find it’s way to my mouth I will spit it out immediately as i…[Read more]

Yes–it’s more disturbing to feel stuffed. Hunger is just hunger, and it goes away.

Thanks for those great “rants,” Lynda! I completely agree with you!
Remember, Alison: the key is to try and keep your bite sizes constant from one meal to the next, always taking in the same amount of food.
Great job guys!

Bit time for a restart. I’m not super happy with where I’m at, but also not to the point that I’m upset. More so, just knowing that I am where I am because I chose to be. I chose not to count for about 2 weeks, and as a result, I gained about 8 more.
The good news is, the lowest I got was 191lbs, which is 22lbs that I hadn’t lost already. So as…[Read more]

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Yeah i have just been literally “fed up” and thought it would be easier to simplify by taking out all the variables. But i think 5 bites does the simplicity in a more tactful way since i can do it anywhere.</p>

Yeah that’s exactly right, total freedom. I am so fed up with all the other approaches that i think i am in a place psychologically where i’m just ready to be done with dieting forever and i can really see this being it. It’s amazing to have some real hope this time

And the other thing that bothered me about Dr. Oz. He referenced some Anorexia support group as some kind as a suspicisous endorsement group for this program. Anorexia is a serious mental health disorder where the sufferers have a completely distorted view of their body weight and image. These are people who are not trying to achieve a healthy…[Read more]

Someone once said to me. “Hunger is not the tummy pains or cravings, but that sharp pain you get in the throat which comes and goes”. So I ignore everything but if I get that pain, a get a coffee and chew some gum till it passes. And it always passes. We can all do this for healthier US!!

I’m really enjoying this diet.
It demyths so much rubbish out there. We simply have to eat less. I watched the Dr. Oz episode of Dr. Lewis interview. I’m not really a fan of Dr. Oz as I consider him to be an appeaser ( feeding the crocodiles hoping it will eat him last) for the ethical/higher order eaters who believe that…[Read more] -

Hi Kmarie, I’m having the same problem, if I could just do 1-2 perfect weeks I would be done with the program. I can do well all day and then in the night I give up and think to myself ‘I can start tomorrow’, if I had stuck to it I would have been done long ago. Let’s try to help each other stick to it, we are almost there, and if we stick to it t…[Read more]

Day 9
So far so good.
Lunch
I was gonna have more of my impossible burger but gf wanted chipoltle so we qent and i had 4 bites of a soft taco and one of chips. It was nice to completely change things up on the fly without much consideration. I wasn’t bound to any particular food. That feels amazing to have that much flexibility and makes it so…[Read more]

Wow that’s pretty cool you can do that. I guess it really doesn’t matter if you’re still getting your hunger and cravings satisfied

Yes Lynda: those realization and perspectives are the first step toward a new understanding of food. I am really looking forward to the time when you WANT to throw most of your food away, especially with other people watching. It’s all part of the learning process. And don’t you doubt it: you WILL be thin. Just keep placing one foot in fro…[Read more]
