Hi Friends-
I have been crazed with work and returning from vacation. This will admittedly be one of the most busy and exciting months of my life. My little guy is getting ready to leave for college and I am moving in with my boyfriend of 6.5yrs. It is truly thrilling but very busy.
For me, historically, monumental changes were…[Read more]

Alice- i love playing chess! Though i am terrible at it, my focus has also been incredibly intense when playing nowadays. And also same here, this is the longest i have been able to stick with something diet-wise. Everything else i tried was either not sustainable and/or took so much willpower it stopped me from being able to do the other things…[Read more]

Dr. Brown is agreeing with the science of breathing out 84% of your fat as CO2 from your lungs. But he’s cautioning on claims made by the weight loss industry about fast weight loss. What that critisim is of or who its aimed at is not discussed. But he’s mostly making the point that you can only breath out so much CO2 a day. I haven’t read the…[Read more]

Try just taking it day by day and stay busy away from food. That helps me.

I’ve decided to make the ultimate challenge at the end. Buy some calipers and actually see if I have 1 inch or less of fat on my belly. I don’t think the calipers will lie.!
I’m not missing alcohol which is surprising me

Glad to see you’re sticking with it! You’re not missing out on anything, it’s just a little food. That’s what I tell myself anyways.

Thank you guys. I so agree with Gayle: If you truly love yourself, then do this for you. You deserve it!
Lynda – I didn’t read the whole article, but it sounds like Dr. Brown supports what we are saying here, no?

OMG, Allan! This is ABSOLUTELY the right thing for you! GERD will absolutely resolve if you lose enough weight. The ONLY cure for NASH or NAFLD (fatty liver) is significant weight loss, and this diet is the PERFECT prescription. Most cases of gastritis will resolve with this diet, and IBS should improve. Diverticulitis probably won’t impr…[Read more]

If you truly want to be skinny, then just do it. Remember, this diet is YOURS and YOURS alone. This is YOU. You are a five-biter. You don’t need to convince anyone else of what you are doing or the benefits of it. You just need to do this for you. In that regard, there is no point in procrastinating; you don’t achieve anything by waiti…[Read more]

Right. And the 23rd is right around the corner–a mere 2 weeks away! We, as intelligent beings that can weigh the pluses and minuses of any issue, can certainly “tough it out hard-core” for a mere 2 weeks, right? If you truly want to have the best time possible on that cruise (in just 2 weeks!), then don’t eat a single thing except for a bar fo…[Read more]

Well I’m back. I totally fell off the wagon. I’m 191 and had lost 10. But I’m going to just kill it. No more sugary coffee drinks, etc. I have bars ready. I am going in a cruise on 8/23 so I have time to show myself I can do this

I don’t know why I keep failing, and I don’t seem to be able to find the motivation I need
I know this diet works wonders if I could just stick to it for 10 days then I would probably be able to reach 115-120, but I just keep failing, and maybe because I keep failing I then think to myself that maybe I just can’t do it maybe I should just…[Read more] -

This is the last diet I’m doing.
I’ve over the obsession of healthy food. I cooked the employee BBQ today, provided morning tea and stuck to my 5 bites. Yeah!! -

This sure is a no-brainer. I use to train rowing 12 times a week, had to make 59kg race weight. I struggled like you wouldn’t believe with a low calorie/high carb diet. Now that I’m not training and just doing ordinary farm work level work, this has been so eye opening and simply so much easier. How the hell could the medical industry, n…[Read more]

Day 24
Thanks Gayle, yes I am keeping so busy lately, figuring out stuff for grad school and taking a teacher training course for mindfulness meditation on top of working my two other jobs. I can’t believe how much more motivated I seem to be now that I am not so caught up trying to sort out all my food issues. That was a lot of brain and…[Read more]

I agree Gayle. People’s negative comments are a reflection of where their mind and issues are. There are no doctors in my circles, so I’m just going to play the authoritarian card on this. My health and my weight is not their concern.

Sounds like you are in control Gayle! My test will be a filipino party with all the usual yummy food. That’s my test. I’m testing myself out with providing morning tea for my workers and not touching it. Next will be the BBQ at lunch and sticking to the 5 bites.
