I like that. I like taking my boat for a spin on the weekend. And I get plenty of physical activity working in my job. I’m not stressing about the exercise at all….for once.

Chloe. What is a scone in America? Is that self raising flour, butter and milk scone? When I was over there last, they called it a biscuit. A biscuit to us is a cookie.
I’m following the “store the food in my brothers belly”. There’s something to be said about indigenous tribes that have survived 50,000 years plus on the planet.

Lynda replied to the topic BAR CHALLENGE – 5 day in the forum The Slimming Station Diet 7 years, 9 months ago
I did break the bar challenge. I had 5 perfect bites of lasagna, but they where the correct amount, not too big. It would have been a bit strange eating a snickers when I had cooked up food for the workers and visitors at the lunch meeting. I had a snickers that night and doing the bars again today. But my hunger stat is definitely set at 5 bites.

Having a snickers handy is good too. If I’m in a place where I can’t focus properly on my 5 bites, I just stick to a snickers bar. Makes it easy.

Thanks Doc!
08/15/18
Day 32
I ate breakfast! 5 bites of a scone and gave the rest to my friend. I love being able to just share food with people. I always remember this quote from a tribe of nomadic people’s who never stored their food: “I store food in the belly of my brothers”.
Lunch was a snickers bar
And that’s it, not hungry, still…[Read more]

Right. As you all know, I’m not a fan of exercise until you are done. Light exercise may be OK, though. Even people in the blue zones (where people around the world live the longest and healthiest) only exercise naturally, but they don’t exercise just to exercise. (By naturally I mean they walk to get from one place to another for social eve…[Read more]

I’ll be honest, Chloe. I can’t find it–I may not have recorded it. Sorry. But I did delete the duplicate.

Good recognition. If we sit around food too long (like after we are done eating), we pick. Why? Just ’cause! And it’s such mindless eating–it serves absolutely no purpose except to occupy time. So, get the food away, or get away from the food, and engage in any other distraction. Your life is worth it!

EXACTLY RIGHT, Gayle! You have the rest of your (now longer and much better) life to eat! AND … the food will taste better to boot!

Allan — I completely agree with Chloe and NeedingThis. They have given you really good advice. But the bottom line is that this program is all about you. Do YOU truly want to be thin? Then just do it. Bring your wife on board if SHE wants, but don’t let her words or her actions distract you. Let the food spoil! It’s just food! What…[Read more]

I had to recognize my husband was just a little upset because he lost his food buddy. Once I realized the out and out sabotage- The war to win- skinny was on in my head. AllenRGV ( you deserve this we ALL do) the fear is false evidence appearing real. Fear will paralyze you! You have nothing to lose but the weight and you will want to kick…[Read more]

Good on you for taking the time to really figure out your stumbling blocks. I have some suggestions, but do what you do:
1. Excess food is the problem and it is sitting there in the pantry waiting to jump onto your body. Better in the trash than on your body. Other things will eat the food, you don’t need to, you’ve already done that, you’ve been…[Read more]

It’s so nice to not be bombarded by food in your own home. Every other public or private space is already doing that. It’s worth being a bit fanatical about for the time being imo. Just get rid of it!

I read “race day” again in WWA whenever my motivation starts to wane. Even if I feel like I am on track, I reread it. Knowing cognitvely what you’re supposed to do, why you’re supposed to do it, etc. is one thing. Knowing it intuitively and deeply within the subconscious is an entirely different thing. If only the conscious mind knows what it i…[Read more]
