That must have been crazy hard to resist. From years of being the fat vegan in the room, I learned that the restaurants put a ton of oil and salt in their rice! So you may see a small gain tomorrow even if it didn’t seem like a large volume. Regardless, tomorrow is a new day and it seems like you are determined! You can do this!
I am guessing y…[Read more]

Right. The second you screw up it’s in the past. But you need to learn from the experience so you don’t do it again. The next time someone orders Chinese, run in the opposite direction! (If you smell it, you won’t be able to resist it!)
And BTW, why all the rice? One bites is IDENTICAL to the flavor of every other bite. Let’s face it: you w…[Read more]

Dr. Lewis – I’m staying focused. No extra bites allowed. I’m not going to slip down that slippery slope. In the past, my mindset has been- “well, I ate a little bit more than I should have- so what the hell – I might as well finish everything – day is ruined already.” But never again! Changing my mindset. Weigh In Day is Thursday June 27. I’m…[Read more]

LOL – Dr. Lewis – except when he’s pushing Guacamole and Chips on me ! Hahhaha. But no – he is a very good role model. He makes me want to get to the Finish Line even faster – so that I can start my maintenance mode STAT.

Dr. Lewis – I felt both AMAZING and POWERFUL leaving all the extra food behind. Come to think of it – I was not hungry on the way home. In fact I was not hungry for the rest of the night. It was liberating.
Later on that same night, my husband asked me if I wanted guacamole and chips. I was like – “Dude, we just ate 2 hours ago!” But he went on…[Read more]

Thank you Rachel I am so glad someone else was there
Dr Lewis, I did o.k today.. for first day.! not perfect but I will be. I didn’t eat anything this morning except hot tea and water.
Then my grandchildren came about 9 AM. Oh my, I was worried because at 1 and 3 years old……they wear me out. We played outside, went for a walk,…[Read more]

Congratulations, SK, on your eating out experience! Didn’t you feel powerful–even invincible–being able to eat as little as you did! Honestly, on the ride home (please try and remember for me) … were you hungry?

Yes! That is right! Once you hit your goal, you can make little adjustments in your routine to keep the scale cemented at your goal weight. I love the fact that your husband has set such a good example for you!!

SK — You must feel amazing now that the hangry part of hunger has gone. Once you’re in the groove, DON’T CHANGE A THING! We see so many examples of where people have afforded themselves extra bites to “celebrate” their success, only to reset their hungerstat in the wrong direction and struggle to get back o…[Read more]
