That’s the point Chloe in my opinion to keep truckin, any imperfections can be corrected by just picking back up with 5 bites at the next meal, I use to always quit and leave the boards if I messed up a little, but I will never reach even what you have accomplished if I keep giving up so here we are still trucking!
Have a Great 5 bite Day

I haven’t beat my record yet, 13 days in the summer of 2018.
I can’t believe it’s already Thursday though!I drank much more coffee than I had been, and water. I also had a diet drink. No tea today, I just wanted coffee instead.
No workout either! I’m trying to not feel so hungry, and…[Read more]

Ah … but a McDonald’s cheeseburger is MORE than 5 bites. I suggest taking 5 bites OF a McDonald’s cheeseburger!

I’m feeling so much better today!
Who knew drinking lots of coffee and eating slower made such a difference?
It worked last week, and it’s working today. I’m really glad to finally figure out why I wasn’t feeling so great, THANK YOU Chloe and Dr Lewis!
Coffee cuts my appetite like nothing else can! It is truly amazing.

You are doing great!!! I know, I miss eating *more* too… But just think, only a few weeks of boring/not as fun eating to push through, and then we’ll feel amazing AND get to eat more!
Have a good rest of your day! -

Thanks so much Dr Lewis!! you are right! Snickers use to be a binge food for me for years..so that has to be why i want more when i eat one, so i better play it safe and continue exploring bars that do not trigger my habit/addiction, thanks!

BUT … OF COURSE … you need to find what works best for you! We are all so different. If protein bars are what keep you from eating extra, then please fill your pantry with them!

Hi Dana. I wrote about sugar foods (like Snickers) and the fact that they turn OFF ghrelin production, thereby decreasing appetite. I think, then, that there are many other factors in play, but mainly habit, boredom, stimulating an addiction/reward system, and other psychological factors. Chloe might help you more in this regard than I. B…[Read more]

I think that mindful eating is very helpful–if not necessary. Also, in regards to ghrelin and what Dana posted about “sugar gets my cravings going,” the single most influential signal that turns ghrelin off (but there are many different signals) is sugar. From a physiological standpoint, foods that are really sugary should inhibit your a…[Read more]
