I’m in my bedroom hiding from the kitchen. Today was my first perfect day. After church ( parking lot church in our cars) my husband stopped at Chili’s for supper. I had my bar in my purse but opted for 5 small bites of his dinner. The bar is still in my purse for tomorrow. Good night 5 biters!

Thanks Rebekah! I’m super happy to be back. It’s only my third day, but my husband put his arm around my waist and said, “Hey, you’ve already lost weight! I can feel it around your waist!” He doesn’t say stuff like that just to be nice, so I was thrilled. This approach really does work incredibly well.
Welcome back to you too, an…[Read more] -

Thank you Maria. For the first few days I will try and bring water into my bedroom or living room. Whichever I migrate to after dinner. That way I’m not in the kitchen. Until my hungerstat is set.

Hi Rebekah! I tend to experience the same thing with really strong evening hunger. What works for me is uncaffeinated diet soda, tea or just lots of water. I tried setting my dinner time for later than normal to see if that would help (from 5:30pm to 7pm), but it didn’t help much, at least not yesterday. Good luck and welcome back!
Maria

Today is my first day again. So far so good, but it’s only 1:00. My struggle starts at 7-8 pm. Boredom I’m sure. I’m posting here for accountability and I welcome any and all advice on what you all do when nighttime/boredom hunger hits you

<p style=”text-align: center;”>Thanks, Dr. Lewis. I decided to change my eating times yesterday to 2:00pm and 7pm. I had five bites of a ham sandwich with Doritos for lunch and then 5 bites of chicken meatballs, quinoa and mixed vegetables for dinner. I was extremely hungry and uncomfortable after dinner and before sleeping, but I just drank wa…[Read more]

This is all good, but just remember: I want at least 4 hours between your two meals. 3 and 7 are fine, but you are cutting it close!

That sounds awesome that they opened the parks in NJ already. It’s also above 70 degrees in the Chicago area, but parks are still closed. Enjoy the sun! And I hope this weekend is a breeze with the 5-bite. Hang in there.

Thanks to everyone for the support! Not sure if this is the “right” way to do it, but I’m going to wait until 3pm for lunch and then have dinner at 7pm since that seemed to work yesterday. Still filling up on coffee, diet mountain dew and water. Fingers crossed that it goes well today too.

Welcome back Maria! Sounds like you are a pro this time around! You know exactly what to do to get the job done and I believe you’ll do it! This is my second time around as well, after taking about a 10 month break. My first week, as you read, was a total FAIL, but determined to drop some major pounds this week. Just need to “hear my fat cells…[Read more]

I am looking forward to getting some sunshine today. They finally re-opened the State Parks. -

Thank you, Dr. Lewis! I’m glad to be back. The 5 bite diet has been the only weight loss method that has worked for me. So here we go!
My first day was actually not bad. For lunch, I had five bites of shirataki noodles with marinara and chicken meatballs. Dinner was five bites of deli ham and hummus rolls. So far, so good. I was very h…[Read more]

I like that analogy. Whenever you feel hungry, your fat is dying. GREAT!!! Let it die!!

Your hungerstat can set a lot faster than that if you eat a perfect five bites for each meal!
Try and keep the timing of your meals the same. Drink plenty of water and coffee. Let’s see if you can’t get into the groove faster this time around.

Great to have you back. This is the place to come when you are finally sick and tired of that extra weight and are truly committed to losing it. You WILL get it all off, but there will be bumps along the road. Just remember why you came back, and use that incentive to push through the tough times. Let’s do this!!
