I’m thrilled that you are back, Joey! Getting skinny again will really change your life in so many ways. Frankly, it’s spectacular. So, let’s go! Let’s just do it. I know there are a few obstacles in the way (Christmas, New Years), but even then I think you will eat less than you otherwise would have, and there is no better time than the pres…[Read more]

I love it! Welcome back, Rebecca!
Losing weight INCREASES your metabolism and will lower your TSH. There was a great study published in Surgery for Obesity and Related Diseases, written by Dr. Chikunguwo (It’s in the second part of my book) that demonstrated this. The weight loss effect on thyroid can be dramatic. Everything will fall int…[Read more]

I’m back to get to the finish line. Recently found out I have low thyroid and insulin resistances so I’m not sure how that will effect my journey. Excited to lose some weight rather than put a ton on with Christmas and New Years Eve (my anniversary) approaching. Going to stick with black coffee this time since I normally add creamer which I thi…[Read more]

Right. And the scale is moving down. Just imagine … if you put together 2 months of staying this consistent with your weight loss (do you even remember what you ate, or didn’t eat, during the months of August and September?) you’ll be skinny!!! Can you just imagine it? You can do this!!!

Yesterday I ate a nutrition bar for lunch, and dinner. The day before I had a nutrition bar for lunch, and rice and broccoli for dinner (more than 5 bites), and then failed to weigh in the next day. I really need to stick to those bars, because right now even just a few bites of “healthy food” will lead me to overeating.
My weight c…[Read more]

Brilliant, Rachel! I love the fact that momentum is on your side. Go with it. If you can, the tough days will be over and through soon enough, and your life will have completely transformed. Keep reading those books. Keep doing what is working for you!!

Doing well still. However, I need to start posting here daily for accountability. Yesterday I ate a nutrition bar for lunch, and ate 5 bites of rice and broccoli for dinner.
I am reading literature about compulsive overeating, including stories of people who have overcome it. I started a routine of reading this material in the morning, and m…[Read more]

I weighed in today, and I gained 2lbs back last week. Not too surprised since I had more bad days than good. But I feel like the last 2 days have gone really well, and I am gaining momentum and confidence. I had perfect days on Sunday, Monday, and doing well today (Tuesday).

Weigh yourself (I’m sure you already did). It’s always helpful to know exactly where you stand. If you weigh X at this very second, then 4 seconds from now you will weigh X – 0.06 gm, etc. It is exciting to realize that you will never weigh what you weigh right this very moment if you don’t eat again. When you do eat, though, keep the eat…[Read more]

Late Saturday night, I caved and ate extra bites. I didn’t go totally off the rails, but I certainly didn’t abstain from those extra bites. Sunday was much better and stuck to the plan 100%.
Trying to decide if weighing in tomorrow will be helpful or hurtful. I feel like I am finally starting to make some progress towards on plan eating, an…[Read more]

I love that. I love that you can feel that it’s already getting easier. And remember: the ultimate goal is to make this journey manageable. You have to find a way to make it comfortable enough that you can live this way for a relatively short, albeit steady, period of time. Keep up the great work!!
