Heather, reading your story was inspirational. You are so close to your goal and it is quite impressive. What a great chance to make such a change in your career and location all while being 40 lbs lighter. And you are so young. I’m 58 and just now tackling this. From where I stand, I can only wish I was that young when I found this amazi…[Read more]

I lost 9 pounds my first week! This week I was going to try to leave out the optional extra two bites we can have, but instead, I decided I should keep those for now, and focus on the size of the 5 bites per meal that I currently eat. My first week each bite was a very big bite. This week I am making sure the bite sizes are in the regular to mo…[Read more]

Talking to you today helped me stay on target. I have a tough time waiting until 5 pm for dinner, but I did it! It was because I reflected on your struggle. I know you will get back on track. Just remember the joy of last week. A little work, and more joy is headed your way. A lot is going on in your life right now, so you deserve to have that joy.

Thank you so much for the encouragement!!
I know that you are right and I’m trying to give myself a little grace right now. I know things aren’t as bad as they seem. I’m just really stressed, lol!
I am going to try really hard to stay the course though. Tomorrow is a new day!
I’ll keep checking in on here, it definitely helps!

Moving is one of the most stressful things you can do, let alone changing a career! Please don’t give up nor beat yourself up. Stress eating just causes more stress. Start fresh tomorrow! Or, if it seems too much, maybe you could go on an altered 5BD to maintain what you’ve already lost to get you through this current stressful time and the…[Read more]

Hi there! Thank you for checking in with me. I’m actually not doing very well at all. Last week I felt on top of the world. This week I feel stressed, emotional and anxious. We are closing on the sale of our house tomorrow and moving cross country and the stress has made it very hard to focus and I’ve def had some slip ups and mistakes. I’m afraid…[Read more]

Hey Heather! How are you doing this week?

Mel Ting replied to the topic Lessons learned in the forum The Slimming Station Diet 4 years, 7 months ago
You’ll totally conquer this!
Especially with your new determination. I went down to 117 years back, but went back to the old bad habits that brought me back up to 197. This time, I’ll get down to my healthy goal weight and move into healthy eating habits. Your 20 pound loss is inspiration for me! And sharing your fumble makes it relatable.

Thank you for the warm welcome everyone! It’s encouraging!
Does anyone know how to rest the weight tracker? Today starts week 2 for me, but the tracker states that I’m in week 3.
I just lost 9 pounds during my first week!

That’s funny! I heard another mantra…”90% is a *itch, 100% is a breeze”. So true. All-in is way easier that almost-in.

Hello, I’m returning to 5BD from my last time here on August 2. The amount of effort to keep my foot to the pedal got overwhelming after 4 months…and to be honest it was inconsistent or I would have finished by then. I left off having lost a total of 28 lbs. I’m returning having gained back 8 of those lbs. Thankfully I’m still down 20 lbs. I…[Read more]

Hi! I am doing another reset and this is day 2. I am drinking lots of coffee and water to help with the hunger. I found this mantra in an old post on the forum and it is REALLY helping me stick with 5 bites: “Better in the trash, than on my ass.”

I love that, Heather! You are 146 now, no? Does that put you at 125 or so? Just for giggles, how about 120? ;)
