The very odd phenomenon is I was wearing some of the same clothes still at 60-80 pounds down. Then, I started going down sizes much more quickly.

I have to deal with many unexpected changes now that I am achieving my lifelong quest to normal weight. I still gave a ways to go, but ecstatic to report I am no longer in plus size clothes! I have struggled with the same thing for my whole adult life. I think it comes down to coping habits. Try to figure out new ways to cope with stress and emotions other than eating. For example, I watch the zoom chats to focus when I feel stressed or self sabotaging behaviors coming on. Also – have to learn that one food overeating does not me…[Read more]

I am enjoying my cruise and final maintenance break before I re-focus. I used Dr. Lewis’ advice for a prior vacation and piled my plate with everything I wanted to try. I mostly took one bite of each!!
I have a couple more days!

I stuck to two or three meals a day – depending on hunger. I didn’t limit any type of food. I ate until satisfied. I tried to not finish any food ever (did great most of the time). I don’t let myself graze or eat between meals (to easy to add up). I did not count bites ever.

My maintenance break for a month was a success. I stayed pretty much the same. I am back on my plan today – A perfect 5-bite day!

Vacation maintenance week resulted in +2 pounds gain. Not upset – but surprised. I felt like I was eating very little. I was not finishing any food and in many cases eating a small fraction of food. But I am fine with the 2-pound gain. It is a reminder how very little we need in food.
