*Applause *Applause!  I LOVED that! And it’s so very kind of Dr. Lewis to help us in between as we show this challenge WHOSE BOSS!!  You continue to knock it out of the park, Carmel.  I love the determination and grace you show.

Sheila, please let us know how you’re doing.  We’re here for encouragement. We are on YOUR team. #TeamSheila :)…[Read more]

  • Okay, 30 pounds for this competition week.  If I can lose 10 pounds, I’ll start comfortably fitting back into my Previous last phase of fat clothes.  I can’t believe I’m excited about that.  I think it’s because I know I won’t be stuck in them for long, I’m just passing through!  I now have the tools, the friends, and a top-notch doctor on my si…[Read more]

That’s the plan then.  A teaspoon makes for small, reasonable bites, so I’m going to try this for our contest week and see if it works better than using all different foods at my meals.  It’s super easy and I don’t have to think about it except when remembering what bite I’m on.  Thank you Dr. Lewis! :good:

I purchased these little vegetarian meals in a bag that you can microwave or boil in water.  They are about 10 bites in total and under 400 calories.  If I eat half (which would be 5 perfect bites) of a bag for each of the two meals for a total of less than 400 calories a day, do you think would I lose 10 pounds in a week?

  • I love you talking back to sabotaging thoughts!  You tell them that YOU’RE the boss and you LIKE living in growl city.  I get that growl sometimes in the morning also, but it’s not as bad as if I went to bed with a belly full of food only to wake up to the unpleasant growl seasoned with low blood sugar.  That’s the worst!  Keep battling on your e…[Read more]

  • I enjoyed it too Sheila!  I look forward to the competition this week. B-)

  • It was nice to meet you, Sheila!  You can totally do this!  Just set aside what you plan to eat tomorrow and touch nothing else except your non-caloric drinks.  Remember, this is a contest until next week.  *Chariots Of Fire theme song playing in the background

  • I really enjoyed the chat!  Thank you for understanding that I didn’t want my face shown.  I’m uncomfortable with being recorded, but that’s just me.  It was wonderful to talk with everyone, especially since we are all in the same race.  Dr. Lewis has such a passion for this, you can’t help but feel inspired!

I’m ready for the challenge!  K…[Read more]

  • I didn’t realize this!  Booking my Mondays now.  See you and everyone else tonight! :crazyexcited: :crazyexcited: :crazyexcited:

  • Thank you gspeech!  :D

  • That’s a GREAT 5BD bedtime story with a happy ending.  Thanks Carmel!  I’m happy this evening worked out for you.  I have the feeling you are going to have fantastic results to share come Wednesday.

  • I appreciate that we are all checking in with one another on the boards.  It feels more motivating to do this together instead of by ourselves.  I enjoy reading everyone’s posts!  They’re motivating and encouraging.

  • Thanks Carmel!  I look forward to hearing about your success later this week.  I step on once a day, but don’t record it.  I only record once a week.  The weight is not falling off like it did the first week, but as long as the scale is moving and I know I’m following the plan as intended, I’m pretty happy.  I’ll keep running this marathon wit…[Read more]

  • My take away is that when I take care of myself, it’s easier to take care of others.

What am I missing on Monday?  What’s happening then?

  • I love coming to the boards and jumping into positivity!  Way to go!  We are all going to be successful if we stick to the plan Dr. Lewis has given us.  If we stick to the plan, the pounds will roll right off of us.

I’m having a great weekend over here!  Another day without the optional two bites, and smallish to regular bites.  5 bites at noon,…[Read more]

  • Oh, I suppose I am thinking of Healthy RN.  Sorry about that!

Yes, the bar worked very well for me today.  I had an appointment at noon, and brought the bar to eat just before my appointment.  It was 5 bites, which was perfect.  It held me over until dinner time.  Great idea!  And I used Snickers the last time I did 5BD, so I’m trying other b…[Read more]

  • Hello!  So nice to meet you, though it sounds like you won’t be here for long. ;)  I look forward to getting to know you better.

  • I’m happy with my bite sizes today. Lunch was a small piece of fish, and a bite sized piece of chocolate, and dinner was two ritz sized crackers topped with cream cheese and vegan protein, and a bite sized piece of chocolate.  And I’m finished until tomorrow.  I’m hoping the scale nudges down by next Thursday.  I would be extremely happy with 5 p…[Read more]

  • Hey Carmel!  How was your day today?  I hope it was super fantastical!  Did you opt for bars or regular food bites?  We have places to go tomorrow, so I’m going to try 5 bites from a think! bar for lunch.  Did you get the keys to your house? :-)

  • Thank you Dr. Lewis and Carmel!  I’m definitely sticking to the stricter plan.  I didn’t miss the optional two bites and I believe any hunger or cravings was better kept at bay this way, and also with the smallish bites vs. the regular to large bites.  Let’s get this over with!  Lol.  I’m anxious to get out my skinny clothes from my first 5BD su…[Read more]
