I love the taking a bow idea too. I messed up a little today, but tomorrow will be a snickers only day.

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Oh Dr. Lewis, that’s a good plan, obviously only for a super special occasion like Mother’s Day. Correct, I have not had any bites since pastry and cheese at tea time. And I’m headed for bed now. And yes, back to snickers on Monday, weigh in on Tuesday morning. 💪👊</p>

Right. The extra bites you had today are behind you, and at this moment, if you are not eating, you are perfectly back on track. Now try and power through the next day and half. It will be challenging. I recommend NOT having lunch at all (no Snickers) and save all 10 bites for Mother’s Day, being as careful as you can when that time com…[Read more]

So I went to our regular Saturday afternoon tea with my mom and sister at my mother’s house. Well, my brother showed up with every Italian pastry from Arthur Ave (in the Bronx) that you could imagine. So I decided that I would have 5 bites of pastry (even though it was only 3:30, hours away from dinner). Well, I had my 5 bites then lost co…[Read more]

Hi. Next to “Week 1” or “Week 2” (or whatever) are up-down arrows; click on that and go back to the week you want to change. Week 1 should be your starting weight. Week 2 should be your weight after the 1st week, etc.

Great, yes I love snickers, they are so satisfying
Well I have learned from many slip ups one little slip can turn into a whole weekend binge, but I am slowly learning to get myself back on track, “next meal is a new opportunity to be perfect”!

Absolutely Pia. It’s such a fine line between needing to be perfect, and not throwing out the baby with the bathwater if we have a little slip up. That is a big deal for me. While it’s only day five and I haven’t had a slip up because I’ve been doing snickers, I fear that when I eventually do have a slip up that will open the floodgates (…[Read more]

I don’t see how to “change” a week. I only see the ability to add a new week’s weight. Can you be more specific about how to do this? Thank you!

I don’t think so. You can’t delete weeks, but you can change the week’s weight. So, go back and change the 1st week to the correct weight, (and keep the second week to that same weight). Then, after you next weigh-in, change your second week’s weight to the correct number.

I like both of these comments. Fill up on the AROMA of food, not the actual food.
And following this regimen does free up a bunch of time. It’s all a win-win! -

This post is so motivating and empowering! Let’s keep it going. I like in the book where Dr. Lewis says to treat each meal like a performance, and you will be judged on how perfectly you execute your five bites. I always imagine myself taking a bow on a stage after my 5 bites hahaha!!!

Down 6.2 lbs
Dr. Lewis, I have 2 “Week 1s” in my weight chart. 164 must be an old one from a few years ago. 165 is the correct one. Is there a way to delete one of them? I want credit for every last pound come Tuesday morning weigh in

Yay, Pia and Catherine!!! 😊 You are right, Pia…eating snickers and losing weight is the best! Win win! I just went grocery shopping and purchased a large box of snickers so I have plenty to get me thru for a little while. It makes it so easy and less to think about just grabbing a bar for lunch and then again for dinner. I have been have to…[Read more]

I love doing the bars because it takes all of the guesswork out. It is simple and effective. Dr Lewis when you did this diet did you strictly do bars? I want results like you had. The quicker the better for me.
