  • I love that insight too.  Thank you for sharing.

Monday night is the Zoom chat with Dr. Lewis, 6:00 PST.

Dr. Lewis, are you having a call  this week?

  • Carmel replied to the topic Lessons learned in the forum The Slimming Station Diet 5 years ago

    Yes I agree!

  • What a GREAT report Mel! I love all the positivity too! It really helps.  Another wonderful weekend under your belt!  You are spot on!  Soon those clothes are going to bag on you :woowoo: Do you still like eating at noon and 5 better than earlier?

I just had dinner at my sons house, whom we haven’t seen in months. I was a bit nervous without my…[Read more]

  • I appreciate that we are all checking in with one another on the boards.  It feels more motivating to do this together instead of by ourselves.  I enjoy reading everyone’s posts!  They’re motivating and encouraging.

  • Thanks Carmel!  I look forward to hearing about your success later this week.  I step on once a day, but don’t record it.  I only record once a week.  The weight is not falling off like it did the first week, but as long as the scale is moving and I know I’m following the plan as intended, I’m pretty happy.  I’ll keep running this marathon wit…[Read more]

  • My take away is that when I take care of myself, it’s easier to take care of others.

What am I missing on Monday?  What’s happening then?

  • I love coming to the boards and jumping into positivity!  Way to go!  We are all going to be successful if we stick to the plan Dr. Lewis has given us.  If we stick to the plan, the pounds will roll right off of us.

I’m having a great weekend over here!  Another day without the optional two bites, and smallish to regular bites.  5 bites at noon,…[Read more]

  • GREAT insights Gayle, thank you!  Thanks for letting me pick your brain.  I didn’t realize about the 2-3 lbs once you stop eating 5Bites.  Good to know! Love “never miss the food I chose not to eat”!

  • Number one take-a-way…I never miss the food I chose not to eat.

  • Hi Carmel

i never remembered being 125 which was my thinnest HS weight post- weight watchers. Dr L encouraged me to go lower and I loved it. I would like to maintain 117-119 with food. We immediately gain 2-3 pounds when we start eating larger portion than 5 Bite.

  • Thanks for sharing all the ways you get through tough times.  It’s always nice to know how others are succeeding and that all the discomfort will be worth it.

I can’t wait to know how skinny feels, too.

The goal I set for myself when I landed here was 127 which was my lowest adult weight. But that was for about 6 months  when I was 22…I was a…[Read more]

  • Carpi Diem…love that! I live on the  southern most coast of Maine.  It’s a grey day here, and the crispness of  fall is in the air, but the beach has it’s own kind of beauty right now. I hope you are having a great and successful day at the beach,  Gayle. Glad you have begun.  Welcome to this side of 5 biting!

Yes, I want this toxic fat GONE…[Read more]

  • day 1:

CARPE DIEM! I will repeat this mantra  all day. I was going to start this on Monday but I’ve been inspired by the dedication of other members in the group.

I know the first few days are a bit challenging but I also know that the discomfort is well worth it.

I have many strategies for getting through those tough times and I will employ th…[Read more]

  • Nice job Mel and Carmel!! I was going to start tomorrow but the tomorrow of you have inspired me to start NOW!!

    CARPE DIEM

going to the beach – an unseasonal event in New York. Even though I usually eat on beach all day – I will have my drinks and bars handy

Love the 5 bite Med Rx idea!! It is so true how food, in small portions, and getting…[Read more]

  • What I love about this plan is that if we just do it, it takes care of the weight loss on its own. We just eat our recommended portions  and voila! Down another pound (or more!) ! As I’ve heard Dr. Lewis say,”One foot in front of the other.”

I’ve started thinking about my 5 bites, or my bar, as a prescription, an Rx, from Dr. Lewis. (I come at…[Read more]

  • Oh, I suppose I am thinking of Healthy RN.  Sorry about that!

Yes, the bar worked very well for me today.  I had an appointment at noon, and brought the bar to eat just before my appointment.  It was 5 bites, which was perfect.  It held me over until dinner time.  Great idea!  And I used Snickers the last time I did 5BD, so I’m trying other b…[Read more]

  • Fantastic!!! It really does help to attend the calls. Dr Lewis inspires like no one else.

In many ways maintenance can be tricky as compared to weight loss stage. Love to have 5 B as an occasional tool to implement when I get off balance.

    see u guys soon

  • Hello All!

Dr Lewis I just love that idea too…we GET to do this.  My “want to do this/get to do this”  effortlessly pulls me forward. My “have to to do this/should do this” shoves me from behind.  It’s a much different experience between the two.  The first is full of joy, the second is full resentment.

Mel, I had a great day yesterday – sup…[Read more]

  • Hi all,

I love reading these posts.  I get so excited when I see a new one!

Gayle, I’m so glad you got my text.  I wasn’t sure it would reach you.  I’m glad you are rejoining for a bit.  It will be fun to watch you nail it back down before it gets out of hand.  As we get older, it gets harder, but only without the 5BD.  This is an amazing tool!…[Read more]
