Right. Keep it simple. 1 bar, twice a day, and unlimited coffee and water. Clean, simple, POWERFUL!!!

drlewis replied to the topic how fast is inch lost weekly? in the forum The Slimming Station Diet 1 year, 6 months ago
That’s a tough one, Preet. Everyone is so different. And not everyone loses fat from the same place on their body. I can give you a much better idea of how many POUNDS should be lost each week, but where those pounds come from is dictated by your particular body and genes.

Sure it’s hard. But it’s totally doable. Think about how hard it is to get through that first day when you are diagnosed with cancer. Put in perspective, the hunger is not that bad. Just do it!

It’s a GREAT time to ask this question, as we are just heading into the weekend. To all who are reading this: Make your weekend spectacular by NOT eating much!! Relax and enjoy your weekend by eating perfectly!!! It truly makes you feel amazing when you do this right!!!

Great, Florence!!! A few things:
1. Doesn’t it feel AMAZING to have a perfect day? FAR better than having just eaten extra bites that you would have already forgotten by now.
2. Congrats on already getting comments, but invariably those comments are going to start to turn negative. People will tell you, “You’ve already lost too much. D…[Read more]

Hi Guys. The body WILL not use the side chain of an amino acid as a fuel source until all fat and sugar is used up. It’s the body’s last resort to accessing carbon. It’s inefficient and “costly” to extract the energy from the carbon side chain of an amino acid so we don’t see even strict vegans become protein deficient. I always turn to nat…[Read more]

Right. Remember what I ask in the book: If you’d be willing to lose 60 pounds a month for $1,000,000, would you be willing too do it just for the health of it?

Hi Shelly. Yes, working from home with a stash of food 20 feet away is a problem. You just need to satisfy your oral fixation and/or boredom with something other than food. Coffee (I know you are not a coffee drinker) or tea is a free “go-to,” and sipping on hot, hot water is always (surprisingly) very effective. Chewing gum is another goo…[Read more]

Wow. Thanks for pulling me into your world, Shelly. This is ABSOLUTELY–without question–the right place for you. Now is the time. Lose the weight now before more consequences of the extra weight set in. Food can be great, but it is nothing if you don’t have your health. Let’s get healthy first, then go back to eating for the enjoy…[Read more]

Yes! The swelling in your legs will ABSOLUTELY resolve when you lose the weight. Granted, you most likely have simple “venous insufficiency” and not lymphedema, the latter of which is associated more with morbid obesity. Regardless, losing weight is how we can cure both of these conditions–and losing weight is the ONLY cure. Surgery may…[Read more]

Hi Shannon. Welcome!
Gayle is a great source of info!
Yes, I hold a Zoom chat every Monday night.
I don’t care what the food is
I would rather you drink coffee with creamer in it than no coffee at all. Still, though, to to get away with as little additives as possible. Drinks are where I restrict carbon.
1 or 2 diet drinks a day is fi…[Read more]

Great. But my big advice is: don’t slide into the finish line just in time. It never works out as you had intended. Instead, lose all 10/12 pounds FAST–within two or three weeks, and then hang out there until the wedding. Telling yourself that you alway have more time to lose those last few pounds is a recipe for guaranteed dis…[Read more]

Hi Ava. Yes, I’d like to hear what others’ thoughts are on this subject.
My opinion is this: there’s no way around it. OF COURSE your going to be crazy hungry after eating just 5 bites. You have to give your body time (3 perfect days) to reset, and then things get SO MUCH easier from a physical standpoint. But your mental hunger, or cra…[Read more]

Doesn’t it feel great, AMAZING even, to BE ABLE to get right back on the program and produce big time results in such a short period of time after a stable? This diet not only gives you the ability to get right back on track in a short period of time, but it doesn’t interfere with life. You can eat 5 bites of whatever is available at that t…[Read more]

Brilliant! After all, why not? You will eat a few extra bites while on vacation. Fine. But why not go into vacation getting as much weight off your body as possible–and to enjoy (yes!) the process while you are at it. Once you make that commitment, hunger isn’t really a big deal. Food isn’t a big deal. Everything is overridden by the ex…[Read more]

Yep. It can be really hard the first couple of days. But just imagine how spectacular everything is going to be when your hunger goes away. Let that pull you through. My other advice is this: Don’t be afraid of the hunger. It can be really annoying–even painful at times–but that’s all. It’s a GOOD reminder that your body is breaking down…[Read more]

JulieNom,
A couple of things:
1. I really want you to try an avoid smoothies. Think of the pure weight of them. Sure, they contain a lot of it is water, but a HUGE amount of carbon is dissolved in all of that liquid. Please do not drink your carbon (calories)–except black caffeine.
2. I really hope you meant a 2 oz Snickers. I don’t thi…[Read more]

Not much that I would change. I would discuss more about carbon metabolism at the beginning of the book so that people understood the basic science: we gain carbon–our fat is nothing but 100% pure carbon–whenever we eat or drink anything except water, and we lose carbon only by breathing. The amount of carbon we breathe out each day do…[Read more]

That is so funny, and you are so right, CK!! I often tell my patients that I feel like the 7-year-old kid in Hans Christian Anderson’s Fable, The Emperor’s New Clothes.
