Hi Linda,
If running is in your blood, then great. Enjoy it. But it WILL make you hungrier than you otherwise would be, and that can delay your weight loss. I might suggest this, particularly if you are receiving from a sore hamstring: cut your workout time in half. Stretch a LOT. Lots of heat to the hamstring, and lots of stretching. Run…[Read more]

I love that attitude, Denise! And yes you can! You won’t be perfect at first, but keep honing your skills. You will get better and better at five-biting your meals as time goes on, and then … before you know it … you’re there! You’re done!! And life is simply extraordinary!!!

drlewis replied to the topic how fast is inch lost weekly? in the forum The Slimming Station Diet 1 year ago
That’s a tough one, Preet. Everyone is so different. And not everyone loses fat from the same place on their body. I can give you a much better idea of how many POUNDS should be lost each week, but where those pounds come from is dictated by your particular body and genes.

BRILLIANT!!!! You will absolutely LOVE how amazing you feel in the morning. It’s like a runner’s high: Running is painful at first, but the high you get after completing a long distance run is awesome. You will feeling amazing tomorrow!!!

Sure it’s hard. But it’s totally doable. Think about how hard it is to get through that first day when you are diagnosed with cancer. Put in perspective, the hunger is not that bad. Just do it!

And Preet–That’s awesome too! I love the fact that you just let it burn. In a day or so, you will start to feel amazing, and everything we’ve been talking about will start to make sense. Please don’t change a thing!!

Yes. You won’t be taking in any significant amount of carbon at all–unless you swallow the gum at the end, and I don’t recommend that.

drlewis replied to the topic Question for Dr. Lewis about 5-bites vs. IF in the forum The Slimming Station Diet 1 year, 6 months ago
Running. Allowing the GI tract to run, which is the 3rd leading contributor to our body’s energy consumption, twice a day, maximizes your energy usage (which equate to more breathing in a given amount of time) while still keeping your carbon intake to a minimum.

I love that Alison. You might never make it THIS PERFECTLY through 3 straight days again, so be perfect this one week. Just do it. Then you will always be able to say that you did a perfect week.

Right. Remember what I ask in the book: If you’d be willing to lose 60 pounds a month for $1,000,000, would you be willing too do it just for the health of it?

Hi Shannon. Welcome!
Gayle is a great source of info!
Yes, I hold a Zoom chat every Monday night.
I don’t care what the food is
I would rather you drink coffee with creamer in it than no coffee at all. Still, though, to to get away with as little additives as possible. Drinks are where I restrict carbon.
1 or 2 diet drinks a day is fi…[Read more]

drlewis replied to the topic Do less bites affect your hunger level later? in the forum The Slimming Station Diet 2 years, 2 months ago
No. It should be OK. If you undercut the amount you are used to eating at any given meal, you might feel a touch more hungry after that particular meal, but you will feel perfectly full in a half hour or so. So, no harm no foul.

HI Karly. No, it’s not just on your end.
For the first time in, what? … 15 years? … nobody’s here. I will always be here to help and inspire those who want it, but I just wish there was some way to get the word out. Any ideas?

Great job, SJ! Yes: it feels SO GOOD to be light. SO GOOD.
I have to admit to y’all that I got sick for a couple of days last week. (It was the first time I’ve been sick in over 2 years, and it wasn’t COVID, and my only symptoms were body aches and a low-grade fever.) Still, I really paid attention to two things: 1. I made sure I drank a ton…[Read more]
