Right you two. There is NOTHING like going into the holidays ALREADY SKINNY. Already at your magic number. There is nothing like it. It is such a huge weight off your shoulders. And all the food that you eat between now and then is meaningless–pointless. You will not remember it in a week, let alone a year from now. You might rememb…[Read more]

Welcome BJS! I sent you a message, and that will get us started. But like Laura wrote in a previous post, why not treat this diet as you would a prescription medication and follow it religiously. Then count down the 72 hours until your hungerstat resets. In fact, why not force yourself to have just a Snickers bar twice a day for a full wee…[Read more]

Welcome back, Laura! I LOVE your frame of mind. I LOVE that attitude. Treat the diet as life-or-death prescription, and count down the hours. Life that exact 5-bite lifestyle until you cross that amazing finish line. We are all here with you!

Right. Stay focused and get it done. Just do it. I say this over and over, but it’s SO MUCH easier in the long run to just do it and get it done. When you do cross the finish line, you will feel AMAZING!!!

Brilliant. You are on track, Gayle. Today–more than any other day that you’ve been doing this–is the one that you need to put all your effort into. TODAY is the most important day of your journey. You MUST find a way to stick to just 5 bites tonight, and get to bed. When you wake tomorrow the sun will shine brighter than it has in a very…[Read more]

And remember, of course, that no foods are off limits. This will help avoid ironic rebound.

Indeed so! I think, amazingly, you will find it even easier this time around!

Great, Gayle. Keep pushing forward. You are ALMOST THERE! Wait no more!! Do it now, doe it fast, and get it done! You don’t want to be in these same shoes once the fancy Holiday parties hit. You want to be your thinnest ever at that time. And if you don’t do it now, it won’t get done.

Right on! Like you Chloe, I feel the same way. I just wish everyone recognized how other strategies simply are ineffective and waste their time.

Right. If at first you don’t succeed (and VERY few people do), try, try again! Eventually you WILL get there, and life becomes truly extraordinary.

Yay. And you will feel the benefits immediately. The second you commit to eating nothing but five bites twice a day you may be hungry, yes, but you will instantly feel strong and powerful. You KNOW where this program is going to take you, and it’s exciting. Also, Chloe, after reading through the beginning of this thread I realized that you lik…[Read more]

Right. Great. The thing to remember is this: You will be really hungry at lunch. Have a cup of black coffee and lots of water. Power through ’till dinner, then five bites. And then the weekend! No work pressure. You can just relax and basque in your own misery (hunger). The days will tick by quickly, and come Monday you should be feeling…[Read more]

Great Katie! Welcome back!
You recognize the importance of accountability to help maintain focus and your commitment. You are in the right place! But use this to complete your journey once and for all.
Just remember that as you get close to the finish line you start to feel really, really good, and you lose the incentive to find your magic nu…[Read more]

I love it. Again, you are separating yourself from mediocrity. But really, whose wants to live a mediocre life?

drlewis replied to the topic Laura’s Journal in the forum The Slimming Station Diet 7 years, 2 months ago
Right. Emotional hunger is never satisfied with food–it is merely quieted for a few minutes. So find some other way of handling that. Physical hunger is controlled with exactly 5 bites once your hungerstat sets to that number.

Right. Remember most of EVERY pound lost on your scale is water. 60% of our bodies are water, and 60% of everything we lose is water, all the way through to the finish line. But there is no reason that the pace you’ve set for yourself should change much. Will it? Yes a little, but not too much. So, keep up the outstanding focus and just…[Read more]

Tammy. It WILL work. There is no other alternative. BUT … you have to do it perfectly. Then again … you CAN be perfect. It will be tough and challenging at times, but it is absolutely doable. Let me know when the struggles set in, and I will devise some techniques to help you get over those struggles.

I like this. I remind patients all the time that they have plenty of salad, vegetables, and fruits already stored in the body, and their is no point in putting more in. I also have them practice some imagery: Envision yourself sitting down and consuming all kinds of food that you would like to eat. Smell how fresh the food is. Notice how coo…[Read more]
