Hi Allison. Why not? Why not make tomorrow the first of three perfect days. Or … you could think about doing 3 perfect days sometime next month, or a year from now, or 5 years from now. Or, you could actually start tomorrow and begin this incredible journey to thinness. It’s all up to you.

To answer your question, Mariposah: ketosis plays a role in keeping your hunger at bay, but the majority of your hunger is still controlled by keeping your hungerstat set.

Sorry Everyone, but I’m going to be on vacation and I just don’t see how I will be able to do the chat tomorrow. But next week!
Good luck everyone. Of course, I’ll be checking in here a lot to answer questions, throw in my two cents, etc.

The biggest tip that I can give you is to GO ALL OUT for 1 straight week. After that week, you will LOVE how you feel so much that the program will take over on it’s own. You will WANT to keep this going until you cross the finish line. To get through the first week, though, you have to have 1. a strong desire to be thin and healthy, and 2. fu…[Read more]

Not much that I would change. I would discuss more about carbon metabolism at the beginning of the book so that people understood the basic science: we gain carbon–our fat is nothing but 100% pure carbon–whenever we eat or drink anything except water, and we lose carbon only by breathing. The amount of carbon we breathe out each day do…[Read more]

That is so funny, and you are so right, CK!! I often tell my patients that I feel like the 7-year-old kid in Hans Christian Anderson’s Fable, The Emperor’s New Clothes. We want so badly to believe what diet companies are trying to sell us to make losing weight easier. But the technicolor royal mantle (that only the righteous can see) doe…[Read more]

Jello is tough. It become a liquid immediately, so it’s like drinking a soda–or a diet soda–or something in between. Frankly, I don’t like it. Instead, get your sweet fix, however you do it, in your five bites twice a day. Let me ask you this: Can you remember 10 individual bites of sweetness from just yesterday? How about from the day b…[Read more]

Welcome Rosemarie!!
Not a thing. Nothing changes. But it’s great that you’ve had the experience of eating so little. Now you can keep it going much longer–in fact, all the way to the finish line. Instead of relying on sutures to control your appetite, you will learn an even stronger mechanism: your hungerstat. When you’ve set it to a give…[Read more]

Oh my goodness. All of the metabolic diseases that we know of that are associated with overweight and obesity–diabetes, hypertension, atherosclerosis, dementia, asthma, GERD, arthritis, liver disease, kidney failure, heart attacks, strokes, and ALL CANCERS, to name a few, creep into the middle and upper levels of the “normal” BMI range.…[Read more]

drlewis replied to the topic Do less bites affect your hunger level later? in the forum The Slimming Station Diet 2 years, 9 months ago
No. It should be OK. If you undercut the amount you are used to eating at any given meal, you might feel a touch more hungry after that particular meal, but you will feel perfectly full in a half hour or so. So, no harm no foul.

Sounds perfect. Enjoy the flavors of the bites you take: really savor those flavors. Appreciate the pop and snap of the grape and the apple; the smoothness of the mellow cheese and how it compliments the rye in the cracker, etc. Love the flavors that you do eat, and toss the rest. You are on your way!!!
