Liz – You have hit the nail on the head! The less you eat, the better the food tastes, and the more VALUE you give to what you eat. Have fun with the program, lose ALL of your weight quickly, and spend the rest of your spectacular life helping other people achieve the same result!

Klculmer –
I want to reiterate a very important point that you made. If you ‘fall of the wagon’, the second time you restart the program it is MUCH easier the 1st three days. And the 3rd time you lose focus and then restart it is even easier. So never become discouraged if you can’t stick to the diet the whole way through. After all, we a…[Read more]

Firstly, Liz, Welcome! It’s wonderful having you as part of the team!
The 3 days to reset your hugerstats holds for everyone–no matter how much you weigh. So just stay focused on how extraordinary you are going to look and feel as a thin person, and only eat five small bites for a meal. After the 3rd day you will not be hungry, and then it’s…[Read more]

drlewis replied to the topic 5BD for someone with juvenile diabetes? in the forum The Slimming Station Diet 17 years, 6 months ago
She has to be careful. Unlike someone who doesn’t take insulin, her body can’t necessarily break down more fat (to produce sugar) when it needs to–the insulin that she takes prevents her fat from breaking down. Thus she needs to have a quick sugar supply (orange juice, a candy bar) at the ready. But people who do not take hypoglycemics (like…[Read more]

Firstly, congrats on having learned the control to keep your weight perfect! Isn’t it an amazing feeling to have that control?
Secondly, Yes. Your friend can lose weight and it will be easier for her to maintain her glucose control. She will require less insulin per day, feel better, and live longer and healthier. HOWEVER, Type I diabetes (or…[Read more]

Hi Pat –
Getting the hang of how this forum works takes just a little ‘trial and error’. I think that most of the features are self-explanatory. Let me know if you continue to have problems.
Regarding the You Tube video, that will appear on the video section later. For now, it should still be available under the "News and Events" section.…[Read more]

Shanni –
If you would like more fiber in your diet, the chewables are fine. They don’t need to count as a bite. But PLEASE eat only 10 bites of food each day. Keep the bites small. If this is something you really want, then do it, do it hard, experience ‘real’ hunger (you will the first couple of days), and then experience the thrill of…[Read more]

Hi Renewal.
First of all, congrats on getting to your goal. I still think, though, that I would lose more before your upcoming event. I just fear that when you do lose again, it will all come off of transplanted area first.
Secondly, maintaining may seem a little hard at first, if you think you can eat ‘almost’ as much as before. You may find…[Read more]

Funny–we are conducting a ‘chat’ at the same time I’m answering this. But, unfortunately, you are too far away for me to see you. So I think it would be a great idea to find a doctor in your area to help you out with the medication that will get you back on track.

Hi MissB! Welcome! Delighted to have you aboard!
Yes…this forum is designed to ‘just jump in’ so I can help you out. This is going to be a wonderful journey for you!
I’m assuming that your goal weight is somewhere around 120. So we are talking 23 pounds. If you stay focused on the finish line and how extraordinary you will look and feel,…[Read more]

Hi Shanni,
Thanks for your question. Firstly, I think it would be a good idea to see a physician to help you with this and to prescribe medication. You are accurately describing the symptoms of depression, and I think you have a ‘mixed type’ (though I would have to ask you more about it). A ‘mixed type’ depression is one that has both…[Read more]

drlewis replied to the topic 560 cals vs 10 bites in the forum The Slimming Station Diet 17 years, 6 months ago
Absolutely–a huge difference. It is this:
If you stick to 580 Cals/day, that might mean a LARGE salad for one meal, yet a SMALL chocolate cake for another. Because your stomach, then, is experiencing different stretches for each meal, you will always be hungry. This just doesn’t work. I don’t want you to be hungry after the first three days.…[Read more]
