I think that whatever it takes to get started again is great. Fasting for a few days is fine–but hard. Still, if you can do it, do it! BUT, when you do break your fast, eat ONLY 5 bites. Trust me: you won’t be hungry for more. But don’t eat more thinking that, for some reason, you “need” the food. You don’t. You don’t need ANYTHING until…[Read more]

You are really doing well, Smaro! Isn’t it FUN to be able to voluntarily eat less, tasting everything, and lose weight without being too hungry? Isn’t it EXCITING to know where this is going to take you? You–YES YOU–are going to be SKNNY! :woohoo: It’s just a matter of time.

No. You can’t convert matter to energy (First Law of Thermodynamics). Fat is composed of tangible matter. You can see it, you can feel it. It’s made up of almost 100% carbon. And the PRIMARY way we rid our body of carbon is by breathing. That is why all living animals breathe. Plants then take up that CO2, break the O2 from the carbon (in a…[Read more]

Perfect, Smaro! That’s it: settle into the groove and just “do your thing.” That’s it. You don’t need to involve other people in your journey; it’s a personal one. Talk about the diet or don’t talk about the diet. It doesn’t matter. All that matters is that you stay true to yourself and your commitment to become SPECTACULAR in every way imaginable!

Brenda: Fat is PURE carbon! When you breathe, you lose carbon; by definition, you are losing pure fat. The only way fat’s carbon leave our body is through our breath, in the form of CO2. You lose roughly 3,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 carbon atoms, amounting to 0.06 gm of fat, with each breath!
A fat…[Read more]

Beth … your “pre-hypertension” is the basic reason why this diet is so important for you (and everyone else). It’s all about our health. I don’t want you anywhere near having hypertension. And remember that hypertension is just one (of thousands) of markers of inflammatory disease, all of which stems from excess abdominal fat. So do it for…[Read more]

YES, 5Bitegirl: the farther along this journey you go the easier and easier it gets to manage the hunger. Of course we all feel hungry from time to time–even me–but it’s so fleeting it’s no big deal. If you asked me the last time I truly felt “hungry” I couldn’t tell you. It just doesn’t make an impression on me because it is so short-lived.…[Read more]

Yes, Socal. You CAN. In fact, you CAN push yourself harder than you think you can. Your body won’t fall apart–in fact, it will THRIVE. So although you will be hungry, push the envelope. Go without as much food as you can. Just a couple little tastes a day, and fall asleep with the grin of success on your face.

So, how do you feel now, 5Bite? Did you give in and have that extra bar, or where you able to stave off the cravings? Was it worth it?
In terms of the clothes in your closet … great! I’m delighted they now fit. But I want you to go through them fast so they no longer fit: I want them WAY too big! Then you get to go shopping. So focus hard…[Read more]

drlewis replied to the topic Smaro's daily log/progress in the forum The Slimming Station Diet 8 years, 8 months ago
Yep: Tomorrow–or TODAY!–is always a perfect day to start again. We are all ALWAYS starting and stopping this diet until we finally cross that finish line. But try not to let too much time lapse between weight-loss sprints.
