Once you are skinny, Shelly, you will NEVER have to go back to eating Snickers if you don’t want to. At that point you can eat whatever you want to. It doesn’t matter. But you need to be much more worried about the fat that is on your body now that ANYTHING you do to get rid of it.
Sometimes I feel like you’ve never read my book–or that you…[Read more]

Good job, Dr. Collins. I love your posts, but I DO recommend sharing your food before you get to your five bites. Maybe what’s left over after the food has been picked through won’t be worth eating (much), or there will be less than 5 bites left. All the sooner to the finish line!!!

Right, Shelly. Be sure to take care of yourself. Killing yourself doesn’t improve the health of your loved ones.

Fine Shelly, if that’s what you want. But it’s not the food that’s driving your hunger–it’s the volume. You need to keep your volume super, super constant. Is that inconvenient? Yes. But the consequences of not losing the weight are much, much more inconvenient!

Great. If your brother doesn’t come through, follow me by re-reading the book. I very rarely go on twitter.

Dear Corey–We are going to miss you and your posts, but the diet is ALWAYS with you. You can do it alone just as easily as you can do it with us. Be strong. Ignore those who encourage you to stay overweight, and ignore the temptation to eat for eating’s sake: there will always be time in the future to eat a lot more. Hopefully we’ll see you…[Read more]

Congratulations at the theme park, Beth! That’s a big challenge, and you conquered it! Don’t you feel so much better right now than had you given into temptation at the park? Wasn’t it worth it many times over? AND, there we be plenty of times in your skinny future when you can return to that park and have some of the park food if you want. Great job!

Great job, Beth. At lunch you probably wanted more, and dinner you wanted to eat, but when all was said and done, aren’t you really happy that you DIDN’T eat? Don’t you feel great now because of it? Wasn’t it worth chasing to stick to the plan? Isn’t it ALWAYS worth it to stick to the plan?

Great. Right–don’t overthink. Rather, become a robot: 5 bites for lunch, 5 bites for dinner. Water, coffee, multivitamin. Repeat.

The island DOES look great, and the best part of it is that it is BARE. No food, fruits, etc on it. I LOVE that! Keep food out of sight! GREAT!

Thanks for this post Rx.
Your metabolism isn’t “screwed up.” Your heart still pumps as hard and as frequently as it always has, and your breathing the same as it has always been (the end result of metabolized carbon). But regardless, it is what it is! You just need to adjust to your current energy requirements to fit your current expenditure…[Read more]

How about a PayDay bar? Just a lot of nuts, salt, corn syrup. That won’t aggravate your gluten enteropathy.

drlewis replied to the topic Reaching My Goal By New Years Eve! in the forum The Slimming Station Diet 8 years, 4 months ago
Gluten-free, fat-free, sugar-free, calorie-free, lactose-free … who cares? They mean NOTHING! (unless you have a diagnosed gluten enteropathy or lactose deficiency for those two mentioned.)

That is a very good and blatant point, Susie. The number of deaths due to metabolic disease FAR, FAR, FAR outweigh the very few number of deaths due to anorexia. Great point. There is a happy medium between metabolic disease and anorexia, and that number puts your BMI around 18.5.
