    @drlewis
    Hi there
    I have rejoined the community as although I reached my target weight for my wedding last year with your help ( I lost 15lb in total) and was thrilled. I did nothing to maintain and have gained it back plus some. I want to lose again and this time stay at my goal weight. Do you think you could help me with a couple of issues though?
    – Firstly, I have at least 3 big birthday meals (including my own) coming up and find resisting food / cake etc really hard on those days – do you have any advice or tips to help me stay on plan please? I know when I achieve momentum its easier to keep going. – Secondly, as I lost weight I would sleep a lot less, to the point where I would be tired in the day time when I reached my goal weight – any tips as to how to deal with this?
    Thirdly and finally, at 5 foot 7.5 inches tall, I reached a weight of 128lb but I think to achieve the recommended BMI of 85 my ‘ideal’ weight would be 120lb is that right? I have never been that weight but might like to experiment on reaching it to see if I like it? Sounds a bit too adventurous/low for me but I guess thats subjective right? Your advice would be very much appreciated – its good to be back here!! Thanks, Tanya

    • Hi Tanya! This is not a section I check regularly, so please forgive me if I don’t reply. Please send me direct messages through the messages section. Those I read every day.

      Obviously you are going to have a few extra bites on those big birthday events. Fine. But if you follow the diet well before those days arrive, you will find that your self-control is a lot better on those days. You will also fill up very fast. Listen to your body! Don’t eat just ’cause everyone else is! On those days be reasonable and smart. That’s all. HOWEVER, every other day should be spent trying to get back to the finish line–or, ideally, your NEW finish line. 120!

      I can’t explain the daytime tiredness, other than you are sleeping enough at night, evidently. YES, as you lose weight you have more energy and may find it harder to sleep as long as you did in the past, but your sleep quality is better. Still, if you can’t sleep at all, you might try a sleep aid like Benadryl (diphenhydramine).

      There is a HUGE difference between 130 and 120 in terms of how you feel and how you look. It’s huge. It doesn’t seem like 10 pounds would make that much of a difference, but it does. I strongly recommend watching my last chat with Inna, who is obviously thrilled with getting the last bit of weight off her body. I think you will find it motivating.

      Let’s do this, and let’s go all the way. AND, let’s do it fast! I can’t wait!! :crazyexcited:
