• Day 21

3 weeks in and I rode 18 miles on my bike today! It was enjoyable and easy, I’m quite surprised. I went at a very slow/comfy pace. Excited to log my weight tomorrow to see my progress. zzzz

  • Yeah, it feels good!

    Day 20

I’m doing great! Still! Still?! so I guess I’m farther in than I’ve ever been so to speak because last time I only got to 16 days or so before I started taking “top ups” on the weekend. It started with just doing 20 bites extra but morphed into terribly uncomfortable buffet weekend and then a really hard week of re…[Read more]

  • Day 19

Easy day today, no energy issues at all. No major circulation stuff. Still had a problem with orthostatic hypotension, but good otherwise.

I did develop some hives randomly and I have no idea what is going on with that. They have persisted for a few days but will hopefully go away soon hopefully unrelated to what is going on with diet.

  • Day 18

So far so good, had breakfast instead and did lunch as usual. I think I prefer just doing lunch and dinner. Anyways, meditation and staying in a positive place mentally does wonders. It’s really nice being free of my addiction to food, not using it as an emotional crutch throughout my day. I am operating off of a different food entirely!

  • Day 17

    Made it through!

I think it would be more helpful to stop talking about all the wonderful food I have been eating since people come on here for support. Making a lot of stuff from home, not going over by even one bite. Energy levels weren’t too bad this weekend. Even went for a run!

  • Cool to see you still going, thought you might have ditched the whole thing. You’re an inspiration!

  • Thanks doc

    Day 16

    L: Vegan waffles

D: Homemade bread, and a cookie

didn’t go one bite over 5 on my meals today. Just a new mini french press for myself so I can make coffee quick and easy right after I wake up. Coffee certainly helps!

  • Day 15

    L: vegan pizza

    D: vegan sushi

And I had an extra four bites of cookie from home. Should have just saved my fifth bite. Refocusing my efforts to stick to 5 and 5. I know around the 3rd week is where I caved in my first attempt as well. Just gotta get past that.

I’m losing weight a little slower than I did last time but I think that’s…[Read more]

  • Just went back through some of your posts, you’re on a roll! Keep going! :woowoo:

  • Day 13 & 14

    L: Pocket and cookie

    D:Pocket and cookie

    L:Mcdougall soup

    D: Vegan cookies

Finally posting something on the day of. It’s been two weeks of consistent 5 bites! I had a bit of a hard time today with blood pressure. I definitely need to keep my hydration up. Otherwise, doing pretty good. I have felt a little weak but have made sure…[Read more]

  • <p style=”text-align: left;”>Yes I agree, actually wanting to move towards something rather than running away from something else should be my motivation.

    Day 12

Still going strong. I like to listen to podcasts with Buddhist monks,, lots of different people from different traditions. One thing that a particular tradition does is eat one meal…[Read more]

  • <p style=”text-align: left;”>Day 11

Yesterday was harder mentally rather than physically but I made it through! I got freaked out from reading about complications with very low calorie diets. My girlfriend helped keep me on track. We’ve been making such good food lately now that she has her own place, I became envious of her ability to eat all…[Read more]

  • Thanks doc!

    Day 10

I had a surprising amount of energy today so it seems like my body is in full swing with the fat burning.

    L: Vegan homemade hotpocket

    D: Vegan homemade pizza

still going, here’s to a good week :-)

  • Day 9

Went on a bike ride today, about 12 miles with no difficulty whatsoever. I am just blown away still. It seems like higher powered movements suffer, but low intensity stuff is just fine.

I’ve also noticed that if I sit or lay down for awhile my energy can be super low when I get up but if I just get up and start moving around, getting the…[Read more]

  • Thanks! Yeah I’m stoked and ready to drop into the 160s this week

    Day 8

    Yesterday

It was easy peasy for the most part but I ate dinner at a different time than usual and was a little tired/irritable from that. I gotta try and keep the eating times consistent.

L: vegan steak sandwich from Ike’s

    D: homemade vegan pizza

  • Yes hope tempered with caution! :good:

  • Day 7

Yesterday was another success. I went back over my old logs to see where I started to crack up and it was somewhere around the second week where I started having a much harder time and began to eat larger meals on the weekends even while continuing to do 5 bites afterwards. This made it so that I had to go over that 3 day hunger pang hill…[Read more]

  • So far I just have found that I need to keep moving and making sure that I don’t sit or stand in one place for long enough for any of my limbs to falls asleep. I feel better after drinking water but if it gets really bad and lasts a long time even when I’ve been moving, I think I will take some electrolytes and see how that changes. That’s the…[Read more]

  • I didn’t realize that you are about a week ahead of me along this journey and we have similar starting weights/goals. Just saw your post on sleep. Yeah I am having the same thing with not needing as much sleep. I’m waking up earlier and going to bed later it’s so crazy but kinda cool! Keep going, it’s inspirational!

  • Thanks!

    Day 6

Ok um, this is really easy so far, not hungry. What a weird experience. I know I’ve done this before already but I’m still just so damn surprised by it. I’m just shocked I guess.

    L: Indian food

    D: milky way

And some water. I was a little more pins and needles today but it has been wearing off quickly. I’m hoping it doesn’t get…[Read more]
