  • Thanks! Week 2 begins today!

  • Well – I caved in New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day isn’t any different. But in my opinion, it was worth it! It was fun having the 2 cheat days. Start agian Sunday Jan 2 :)

  • Thanks, Dr. Lewis! Any advice on how I can keep up the same enthusiasm next week? In the past, I drop a lot of weight the first week and almost nothing in the second, and I never reach my goal weight. How can I keep going strong in the second week?

Day 4 – over. Perfect five-day bite again, and I ate and drank the same thing as on Day 3. I hope I…[Read more]

  • Welcome back, Rachel! You are going to do great! 2022 will be spectacular, and hopefully, Covid will be under control.

Cheering you on! For me, this site is so motivating – especially with accountability. I have been logging all of my food and daily weigh-ins, which has really helped me stay on track. On day 4, I am down 6 lbs.

  • Welcome, Katie! I know that 2022 will be spectacular for you! Great way to start the New Year. I started four days ago – to get a jump start as well. Glad I did because hopefully, I will control my eating on New Year’s Eve. There is no need to wake up in 2022 swollen and bloated from overeating and binge drinking.

    Rooting for you!

  • Morning of Day 4 weigh-in – 108.

Down 1.4 lbs from yesterday! So far, I have lost a total of 6 lbs. My goal is to lose another 2 lbs by Saturday, for a total of 8 lbs gone in one week, which would be awesome!

I am trying to plan out my meals today, and I think I will eat exactly what I ate yesterday. I will check in tonight.

  • End of day 3. I did not deviate from the meal plan that I had planned earlier in the day. Oh – but I did have two coffees with heavy cream, and maybe that will throw things off a tad – but overall, I did really well.

Cravings were powerful this morning at 11 am – but white knuckled my way past the cravings.

I will weigh in tomorrow morning.

  • Morning of Day 3: 109.4

    Down 1.6 lbs.

    Sticking to another perfect day.

    Breakfast: Matcha tea

    Lunch – planning on 3 sugar-free chocolates

Dinner – planning on 5 bites of ribeye steak

  • Day 2 in the bag.

Dinner at 6 pm was four bites of rib-eye steak (so yummy!) and one piece of sugar-free chocolate.

Cravings are bad tonight. But keep telling myself the extra food is not worth it, and tomorrow I want to see at least 1 lb – hopefully more – gone for good.

Green tea for the rest of the night for me. ‘ Til tomorrow…

  • I’m having trouble wrapping my head around ingesting real sugar. Maybe it’s my brief stint with Keto that has me anti-sugar or maybe it’s all of the YouTube videos that talk about glycation and how sugar causes wrinkles and destroys collagen. I’m 46 – not getting any younger. Do not have Botox or fillers and don’t plan on it. On good days, some…[Read more]

  • I feel great. And any kind of cravings or hunger pains are worth it to get to my goal weight. I’m going to do it.

    Matcha tea for breakfast.

Lunch  2 pm: 5 bites of Rotisserie Chicken (switched it up a bit), green tea, multivitamin

Ran for 15 minutes, Echelon bike 20 mins.

Dinner is up for grabs at 6:30. Maybe 3 pieces  sugar free c…[Read more]

  • Beginning of Day 2: Jumped on the scale this morning: 111.

Down 3 lbs! Unbelievable. I love 5 BD!!!

I am going to have another perfect day today. I will eat exactly what I ate yesterday. My next weigh-in will be Saturday morning, Jan 1.  I would pick my weigh-in to be Friday – but I want to hold myself accountable and stick to the 5 BD on New…[Read more]

  • You and I, both Dr. Lewis. Dinner was executed as planned at 6:30 pm – 3 sugar-free chocolates and green tea. The kitchen is closed for the night, and I will weigh in tomorrow morning to see the results of my perfect Day 1.  Until then…

  • Hi Dr. Lewis! Good to hear from you. Yes – New Year, New Me! I have such a strong mindset this time around. I feel strong like a warrior – ready to battle it out! I love how you said to “look forward” to hunger. That is how I am going to approach 5BD this time around. I won’t be afraid of hunger anymore. The hunger will come, and it will go -…[Read more]

  • Returning to SS after putting on 15 lbs during this horrible, crazy Covid pandemic. But – no one to blame but myself. This is the only diet that has ever worked for me. I need to stick to the 5 bites and reset my hunger stat. Day 1 starts today. Striving for a perfect week! I am expecting the first 3 days to be difficult – but SS will help to keep…[Read more]
