  • So I’ve lost another 4 pounds. No sugary drinks or alcohol. I did have 2 slip ups. Blew out to about 10 small bites while tired and preparing food for kids at 5pm-6pm on 2 nights. So I’ve prepared dinners so I don’t have to be around the kitchen when I’m hungry and ready to graze, tempted to pick at food.

But I’m happy with the ongoing 2 kg a…[Read more]

  • I’m noticing the bites can vary between the normal 50 gm snickers bar and 70 gm of pasta. So if I’m sticking to snickers bars on the run and 5 bites with the family.

Does anyone get reflux when eating their bites? Everytime I eat, I get a bit of indigestion. It goes away after a while. But I haven’t had that since I was pregnant 8 years ago.

  • Perfect day. I have to keep saying to myself, race to the end, get this over and done with. Just running on my reserve tank. It’s my lifestyle and totally normal to have 5 bites. I’m going to be a good role model to my kids. It’s not normal to be fat and have heart disease or diabetes in your 40’s. :umm:

  • I’m weighing out 70 gm or 2.5 oz to be sure my bite size doesn’t go over board and I stick to the same lunch and dinner.

  • Breaking headlines in Australia:  “Crash dieting is dangerous” Loosing weight too fast is bad for you… But only people with heart disease in the first week had to be careful/under medical supervision. And all low calorie dieters improved all health measurements beyond what they had before dieting.

The sensational news team totally omitted the…[Read more]

  • I have just started flavouring my old coffee with cinnamon, so it tastes a little gourmet. I have purchased these little disposable containers and measuring no more than 70 gm (2.5 oz) of food in it. I had trouble with hunger last night, and took 2 extra bites, but I think it was because I was tired and a bit dehydrated.  I’m enjoying not being…[Read more]

  • So as advised, I’m starting my own journal. I didn’t loose that much this week, but hoping to loose 20 pounds for August. I am good at sticking to the 5 bites, but have slipped up with too much alcohol and a coffee bean I bought had added sugar to it. So back to my old coffee and tea for now. I am actually down 12 pounds total, but had a slow…[Read more]

  • No adverse effects. Just trying to get rid of my sore knees and hips. I went rowing for the first time in  a long time. Felt a lot more comfortable with my weight but want to loose 20 pounds this month.

  • To add fuel to the fire….so to speak. I can see the discontent on peoples faces when I say yes, you can live off 2 snickers a day. Everyone is pounded by “you must eat a lot of healthy food, super food or die” message. Let me introduce you to the halo effect. I believe a lot of the population are overeating due to this psychological effect. And…[Read more]

  • My hunger stat is set really well. I don’t stray from the 5 bites, although my childen bitterly complained my bites where too big when I took them out of their Big Macs. Too funny. Anyway, I think it’s really important to stay hydrated, drink whatever zero calorie drinks you need to. When I get dehydrated that’s when the hunger/dehydration plays…[Read more]

  • I’m really going high end foodie at the moment. I’m enjoying my 5 bites, smoked rainbow trout with pumperknickel bread. I hate been a little naughty and have had wine and gin and tonic. But still strong on the 5 bites.

I’m blown away with the thought that we may have got it completely wrong on the calorie count. Obsessing about energy and not…[Read more]

  • And the other thing that bothered me about Dr. Oz. He referenced some Anorexia support group as some kind as a  suspicisous endorsement group for this program. Anorexia is a serious mental health disorder where the sufferers have a completely distorted view of their body weight and image. These are people who are not trying to achieve a healthy…[Read more]

  • Someone once said to me. “Hunger is not the tummy pains or cravings, but that sharp pain you get in the throat which comes and goes”. So I ignore everything but if I get that pain, a get a coffee and chew some gum till it passes. And it always passes. We can all do this for healthier US!!

  • I’m really enjoying this diet. :crazyexcited:   It demyths so much rubbish out there. We simply have to eat less. I watched the Dr. Oz episode of Dr. Lewis interview. I’m not really a fan of Dr. Oz as I consider him to be an appeaser ( feeding the crocodiles hoping it will eat him last) for the ethical/higher order eaters who believe that…[Read more]

  • My unconscious eating has stopped too  The idea that I can eat the most indulgent food I can think of without the guilt. I love cooking and make the lasagna’s for a local primary school, and any extra food I cook I freeze or hand it on to those less fortunate in our community. But I have really stepped back from cooking large quantities…[Read more]

  • I’ve had a perfect day. Nachos for lunch and carbonara pasta for dinner. I bought little plastic containers to put my 5 bites in so I don’t have leftovers hanging around. I can totally relate to the Italian sausage. I’m the largest pork producer in a town in Australia which is called “Little Italy”. Salami season has just finished.    I h…[Read more]

  • I’m finding wearing my favourite perfume helps. Whenever I get a hunger pain or think about food, I smell my wrists and stop thinking about it. I have dropped 8 pounds and had a slow start, weaning off coffee with milk and alcohol, but following the diet exactly. You are right Chloe about packing the food away after your 5 bites. It’s tempting to…[Read more]

  • Leona, you sound like a foodie to me. Not missing out on the good stuff. I took 5 bites from my sons yiros/kebab last night. It was delicious. I’ve already lost 8 pounds on this diet and are feeling better for it. I have a selection of nice cheeses and gourmet bites ready for dinner tonight. I stuggle with not being able to enjoy a class of wine…[Read more]
