Right. If you look too far down the road it can be overwhelming. Instead, there is a prize waiting for you at the end of each day: you are a little lighter, you feel a little better, you are a little healthier, and you are a little closer to being done forever. It’s all good, and you get to experience these feelings EVERY SINGLE NIGHT until yo…[Read more]

Because fruits and veggies are PURE CARBON! You body breaks down all those chains of carbon (cellulose) in your stomach, the indifividual carbon atoms are absorbed into the body, and then they are reassembled as sugar! So, eating fruits and veggies is eating sugar. How much sugar? Well, that all depends on VOLUME. That’s why volume is key.…[Read more]

Food has very little VALUE. It tastes good and satisfies hunger, but has no LASTING value. When we go out and spend $25 to watch a movie, as least we leave with memories of the plot, scenes, and characters. When we we eat, it tastes great and it satisfies hunger, but then we are left with no memory of the food. In fact, the only thing we not…[Read more]

Right. But once you realize that this is your top priority, and that, without a doubt in your mind, you are going to do the plan perfectly, this enormous weight is instantly lifted off your shoulders. You instantly feel excited and giddy about the future. Because, from that point on, no one and nothing can stop you!

GREAT JOB, Shelly! I so happy for you! Honestly, now that yesterday is behind you, and you thrilled that you didn’t finish anything? Given how good you feel now, wasn’t it worth it to not finish the food? And so will always be the case all the way down to the finish line. Great job!!! And have an incredible time on the beach!

Right. I’ve been doing this a long time, and there is a reason why I have people count bites and not weigh their food. Bites are better for a few reasons: first and foremost we are seeking to put a constant VOLUME of material into the stomach, regardless of what that amount weighs, to perfectly control hunger. Granted, a heavier 5 bites puts mo…[Read more]

Be really careful of lattes/mochas. They are LOADED with carbon! Again, we can take in an enormous amount of dangerous and unaccountable carbon in liquid form. That is why I am so strict with liquids. But only with liquids!!

Right, because when you get back from your trip you won’t remember–EVER–that final bite. Ever! So make is simple: 5 bites, or one bite of everything, whichever is greater (I’ll give you a little leeway on vacation).

I LOVE your attitude. I have a sense that you are going to do really well this weekend. It’s going to be hard to be perfect your first weekend, but on the other hand, it’s kind of exciting, right? It’s exciting to anticipate the temptations that you know are coming your way and to prepare for them so that you don’t give in. It’s really exc…[Read more]

Have a wonderful time, Shelly! You will. But remember the last time you went there: as good as the food was, are you still tasting it? Do you even remember all the things that you ate from your last trip? Of course not. Nor will you remember the food weeks to months after returning to the states. SO, taste (literally, 1 bite!) everyt…[Read more]

Brilliant, Shelly, BUT … might I recommend adding Lexapro to your regimen (5 or 10 mg) and take a FULL phentermine tab. This regimen is really good for controlling your hunger but reducing the increased anxiety that can come from Phentermine. I think it would work very well for you.

Sean — Of course!! You can eat Snickers until you cross the finish line, and doing so would be one of the healthiest/safest things you could do for your body (knowing that other foods put more carbon back into your body, delay losing weight, and that the longer fat sits on your body the more unhealthy it is.) What you eat or don’t eat isn’t w…[Read more]

Shelly–you are right. Losing weight is must, and if you must, have surgery. But you won’t be eating any differently that what I’ve suggested here. The surgery just forces you to adhere to 5 bites. So the question you really need to ask yourself is this: Is surgery, its cost and all if its complications, easier than developing and iron…[Read more]
